The radio antenna does not fully extend or
This is a shot in the dark ... spray your antenna with some cleaner or lubricant product. WD-40 comes to mind though this is not a true lubricant. Put a rag at the base of the antenna to keep the spray off the finish of your Toyota.
I hope this works for you ...
Does anyone know anything about
I had this question too a while back, it had something to do with the intake, and there was another one. I called my local dealership and had them run my VIN# and they explained to me the warranty that i was entitled to. I didn't qualify for the engine but they did recall a steering rack issue that I had.
Cheers and good luck,

Hi,
There are only 2 places it will come from.
1. The battery which can be cleaned down from using hot water.
2. Salt oxidation which could be coming from an external source such as the sea or factory, the corrosion is caused from the aluminium oxsidising.
Let me know if you need more help.
Thanks

2004 Toyota 4Runner blowing cold
if the car is at normal operating temperature and the car does not over heat and the air is cold you possible have a bad heater core.
How to give a tune up for a 1990 toyota 4runner?
with many new modern fuel injected vehicles its hard to give them a tune up without plugging them into a computer or getting an aftermarket computer chip and programmer.
however, if your toyota is running a little rough and getting bad gas mileage i would reccomend a new set of spark plugs and wires. and maybe a new fuel filter, i would do the spark plugs first, if the results are not satisfactory then change the spark plug wires, and if the results are still not up to your standards comparing the way it used to run to how it runs now then change the fuel filter. doing all these things will make the vehicle run clean and efficient like it should. and if it doesnt than im sure you have a vacum or oxygen sensor problem.
just wanna hop up the performance a little bit and get better fuel mileage?
then i would suggest and personally recommend a complete K&N cold air intake kit.
I drive a 1991 toyota
1. If you have the check engine light on then the emission control could be doing this because of bad oxygen sensor(s).
2. Check the transmission fluid. If the level is low then the transfer case would not transfer all the power from the engine to the transmission.
I put a new starter
make sure wires are clean and tight and battery is fully charged and posts are clean and tight, check starter by bumping it(turning key on and touching a RUBBER handled screwdriver across pos and neg bolts on back of starter)but be CAREFUL this will cause sparks and damage the screwdriver if starter does not turn its not getting juice,or just bad or not fitting right.
My 1990 TOYO. 4RUNNER V6; Oil is getting into
Check the Distributor shaft for any sign's of play. If play is present, you have (1) of (2) choices :
(1) Relace Distirbutor
(2) Have Distibutor rebuilt
There is a seal in the distibutor that will wear and cause oil to get inside of the Distributor.
Also check to see if your vacum advance Diapham is broken, that will cause oil to get inside the distributor as well.
To do the test, connect a vacum hose to the vacum advance(that's the round thing on the side of the distributor),you can suckon it see if it hold's vacum or you can purchase a hand held vacum pump.
Lastly, are there ANY other line's attached to the Distributor ?
