Are you definitely checking the compression properly? Sorry to ask, but if you are then you could have valve/piston contact and needs new valves, valves lapped in and check piston condition. Either way the cylinder head needs to come off to check the condition.

let the car get up to operating temp and squeez the top radiator hose, if you feel the coolant squeeze out into the motor you thermostat is fine, but if you feel the hose and it feels presurized you need a thermostat. Also check to make sure the fan is operating at operating temp because that would cause overheating. ALL vehicles require the cooling system to be bled. Some have a bleeder screw (usually near the thermostat ) if not fill the radiator and keep toping it off at the coolant tank.

CHECK AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH SHOULD BE ENGAGED OR RUNNING WITH AC SWITCH ON POSITION.IF NOT CHECK AC COMPRESSOR CLUTCH FUSE AND RELAY.IF BOTH GOOD AND POWER IS GOING TO AC CLUTCH.YOUR CLUTCH IS OPEN.IF ALL LOOKS GOOD YOUR AC LOW PRESSURE SWITCH IS BAD.COMPRESSOR SEIZED OR YOU HAVE TOO MUCH MOISTURE IN AC SYSTEM.

difficult in all cars mate 5 to 6 hour job to even gt near it.

Sounds like its the catalytic converter/exhaust silencer thats blocked. That will stop the engine running and give a nasty smell. You should get the car to an exhaust specialist that can test and replace , if necessary , the exhaust. He should be able to test the oxygen sensors too. Hope that helps

I will 1st say I am not familiar with the Chrade, but there only 2 possible locations for the stop light switch that I have seen or heard of: most common is the upper brake pedal, and the other is the brake master cylinder. Hope this helps. If you have not yet purchased a replacement (it could be just an adjustment) a friendly parts store should be able to tell you the location. Good luck.

Take this to a mechanic. Brakes are not something you should attempt at home unless you know exactly what you are doing.

if you dont have points system in your dist you will not have dwell to speak of you meter will regester something but its meaningless,the dwell defenition mean the amount of time the points are closed and since you have electroinc ignition there is no points to close I hope this helps you

Some of these cars have a little rubber bumper that pushes the pin on the switch. these rubber bumpers go bad and fall out. Sometimes you can find a new one from the dealer, or use something that can go into the hole and take the place of the bumper. if you follow the brake pedal up to the switch you will see what I'm talking about.

try autozone.com to see if they have your car listed for diagrams pictures and step by step instructions if your car is not listed then try your local library they have all the car manuals and even copy them for you

GO TO AUTO ZONE BUY THE CD- ROM. ALL DATA DIY .COM IT HAVE ALL ENGINE VACUUM DIAGRAM.AND DRIVE BELT ROUTING DIAGRAM FOR DIFFERENT CAR SERPERTINE BELTS.IT HAS ELECTRICAL DIAGRAMS ALSO.

ok.. for starters you need to check why you are loosing revs.. it could be your powersteering switch on your steering rack not working.. just bridge switch to test.. revs should not drop on steering.. then check fuel pump relay.. and efi relay.. theese cars are gettin on.. so could be faulty with long use..heat related.. insert a visual inline fuel filter and when it stalls check fuel flow... aswell as put a little fuel in the vacum hose line and see if it starts to confirm its a fuel issue... if the visualis fuel flow than its fuel pump related.. wires can come loose of pump .. as they travell under rear seat.. and into tank.. ... good luck
