Locked renault clio 2001 1.4 16v si cd/radio player!
My car battery went flat, when it was recharged the cd player/radio asked for a code, i was given one by the garage that i purchased it from, however this code didn't work as it was for the original car cd player/radio, the previous owner would of replaced it and because of this i haven't got the code. I tried to key the number in from the garage a few times and then it locked, now it wont even let me put a code in. Is there any way of unlocking this myself so i can then enter a code i have found over the internet. I dont want to pay £20 for unlocking my own car cd/radio player. Would be great if you could help me please!
to enter your code when the cd player displays error leave cd player switched on and after 20 mins or so i will display 0000 then you will be able to enter your code this happens when some 1 has entered the wrong code

the car will start on a bump start but will not start when trying by the key, fuel pump kicks in but no start is it possibly a loose wire to the starter or has the starter had it
I have a 2000 Espace and for years it has suffered from a non-start problem. It can be fine for ages and then, suddenly, there's nothing when you turn the ignition, not even a click. All instruments light up. It's not the battery. Does this sound familiar?
In my case, time and time again it has been what they call the 'firewire' connection on to the starter - the connection becomes corroded over time and fails to pass sufficient voltage.
If the terminal becomes too badly burned, where the voltage has arced because of a poor connection, apparently the only solution is to fit a new starter motor. But so far, in my case, it's just needed a clean of the connector and terminal.
By the way, holding the ignition key in the ON position for some time (30 seconds or more) can sometimes cause it to fire up.

I changed the batteries in my R Reg Renault Megane 1.4 petrol car key and now it will not unlock the doors or deactivate the immobiliser. nearest renault garage is 30 miles away any suggestions.
work it manually and it should work ...ie put the key in the door and open and lock the door 3 times slowly then jump in and try to start within 15 secs .if it doesnt work then be prepared to be fleeced and lay the golden egg at the dealers

hi i have a renault kangoo van and when i turn on the ignition the emmobiliser light will go out for a couple of seconds and the start flashing very fast , the engine wont start , does anyone have any ideas, do you think its the key at fault or praps the immobilise unit itself, thanks.
hold the central locking button down on the centre consul inside the van for more than 5 seconds the doors should lock Then unlock,then press the key fob within ten seconds the doors will lock and unlock again this will re- program the key code

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls

NO PETROL TO INJECTOR RAIL ,IF PUMP RELAY BYPASSED, PUMP RUNS AND FUEL COMES THROUGH O.K
i was told i needed a new fuel pump relay for my renault megane but when i put in the new one it only worked for a few minutes. the only way i can get my car to work now is by inserting some wire into two points on the relay bos and bypassissing the cut off device.any suggestions?

Renault Megane bad earth???
I have a 51 (Sept 2001) reg Renault Megane. The other day the car started shuddering and shaking and sometimes when accelerating it is as if there is no power, or it is very intermittent. I've had this problem before and changed an Ignition Coil and that has solved it, however, now it has stopped doing that and other problems have started. Upon setting off, the car will central lock itself, and it still feel a bit ropey to drive. Not sure if this is connected, but I have also noticed that using the electric windows makes the headlights flicker/dim.
Someone suggested it could be a bad earth. I do not know what this is or how to fix. Can anyone shed any light on the problem or what to do with this earth?

Hi an earth is the black lead that comes off your car battery, most likely the battery connection/ earth wire is not conatcting the car body correctly ensure the black/brown lead has agood contact to the car body. NOT the red one though!
also another earth comes from your rear lights to the inside of the boot, and another from the battery to the gearbox most likely its the top one from the battery to the car body.
it may just need tightening up or at worst you will have to take it off and clean the connections ensure you have a shinny metal conatct for the best result and after you have done that cover the shinning metal with grease to stop it rusting or corroding
