#1 Spark plug is no burning fuel.
Either your timing chain has jumped a cog, or a valve is stuck or burnt. Best way to check the timing is with a timing light. If the mark jumps all over the place, your chain is no good. To check the valve, do a compression test. Good luck. Let me know how you make out.

Try tapping your starter motor and solenoid gently with a hammer. If the brushes or contacts are worn out this will give you a few more starts. Remember to only tap on s solid part and stay well clear of the electrical connections or you will damage something. If that doesn't work you have to start troubleshooting by testing for a voltage on the solenoid when you turn the key on to the start position and work back from there.
I have a Datsun/Nissan 280ZX non-turbo (Not a 210)
Have the thermostat tested first. You can do that by observing if the fan turns on when the fan exceeds your normal running temperature. You may want to check the radiator cap it may be worn out that some steam may come out through it causing temperature to increase in the process.
What wires hook up the car battery
black wire is negative and red is positive.? different batteries have different connections. some have top terminals that the wires squeeze onto. some have side terminals that thread in.

I understood Pierre , see my second post, unfortunately the lounge is monopolized by experts that want to expose each other solution in the hope to gain some favour or advantage (how?).
This situation became critic since I noticed there was a slight time delay and some expert was having premiums displayed earlier than other.
The fact, as alex explained me, was just a temporary system fault due to bigger work cue, but some expert thought there was a kind of hierarchy among experts and started a race in showing other experts' weaknesses.
I do not care much about rascal, but I considered the Finnish a better person, someone from my same legacy to say.
This with 5 inapps received today had driven me mad.

Oil dumb on plug number one,what seems to be the problem(datsun L18)
Hi there
If you have oil on Number 1 plug and not on the others then you have a bad plug/bad HTlead/cracked distributor cap or badly worn piston rings,burnt out valve or valve seal in number 1 cylinder.
So put in new plug and try it if engine runs rough then check out all the above.
