Trouble code pp440 what should look for

I'm assuming the code is P0440 which indicates a prtblem with the EVAP system. You could have a problem with the gas cap (loose or bad) or a hose (fill or vent). You could also have a problem with the purge valve or canister.

Need radio codes i have the radio pulled out

Most of the time the dealer will provide you with the radio codes and write them in your owner's manual. If you don't have them - you will have to get them from the dealer. They most likely will require you to provide proof of ownership.

Engine timing

Get the Haynes of Chilton's manual on your vehicle so you have the instructions to properly do the timing. "engine timing" is too vague to get any usable help other than that.

HOW DO I CHANGE A IDLE CONTROL VALVE FOR A 2000

The IAC (Idle Air Control) valve is located on the Throttle body of the engine, that is the part at the very beginning of the intake manifold where the throttle cable is connected and the air intake hose from the air cleaner is attached. The IAC is held to the Throttle Body by two (2) bolts, either 8mm or 10mm. It is a 10-20 minute job to replace. Below is a puicture of the valve.

Was changing camshaft position sensor and now car

It is possible your timing chain/belt has slipped. This may have been the original cause of the trouble code that led you to change the sensor. You will have to remove the timing cover to check the valve timing. If you need instructions or have more questions, please let us know.

Daewoo leganza cdx brakes fault- abs seems not to

If there are no warning lights on, I would try to bleed the brakes to see if the pedal movement is decreased and braking power is increased.

Also, check the power booster vacuum hose and check valve to see if there are any leaks.

After turning off the car, pull the check valve off of the booster, and see if you hear a loud hiss.

You may want to wait a few minutes, first, to test that the booster holds vacuum over time.

Good luck on this repair.

I need m radiocode for my used Daewoo

Hi,Hope i can help.
Here in the UK we would go to the dealer, show our ownership papers (to prove we own the vechicle ) then pay £10 and they will give us the code.
Also the people who install radio`s usually can recode for a small fee
I have worked on alot of ford products and very often the code is written on the back of the radio
I hope i have been of some help to you
Happy Easter John (South Wales UK )

My daughter's laganza is overheating

if there is steam, there is a leak somewhere, and you need to find it-when the engine is hot is the best time to find a leak since the system is supposed to be under pressure...
see if the upper radiator hose has pressure, squeeze it, it should be hard to callopse and hot.
Check to see if the heater works (put it on full heat to see if it gets hot), if not your thermostat needs replacing and that would explain the overheating under load. make certain the level on the radiator is Full (check it when the car is COLD, not hot). you have to check all these things before you can find (the problem, look for the leak first, then check for pressure, check for heat inside the car, then check the level (COLD) - I think it is going to be a combination of low level due to some sort of leak, with the possibility that your thermostat is stuck shut needing to be replaced as soon as possible.

I have just replaced my battery for my 2000

You can have the alternator tested for free at your local parts store...easier if you can drive it to the auto parts store:) Sounds like it is the alternator...in rare cases the starter can have a short that causes this drain...but usually takes overnight...my guess again is the alternator...Is the timing belt scheduled for a change? This repair is not for the meek...Hope this helps.

Battery goes dead if not driven for a few days

That would happen because of two reasons 1.Your battery needs to be replaced and has lost its life. 2.The battery is known to die if not used for some time, keep charging it by running your vehicle more often.
