I have a 2005 Range

Hi
Common air suspension problems..
Air bag or air strut failure is usually caused by wet rot, due to old age, or moisture within the air system that damages it from the inside. Air ride suspension parts may fail because rubber dries out. Punctures to the air bag may be caused from debris on the road. With custom applications, improper installation may cause the air bags to rub against the vehicle's frame or other surrounding parts, damaging it. The overextension of an airspring which is not sufficiently constrained by other suspension components such as a shock absorber may also lead to the premature failure of an airspring through the tearing of the flexible layers.
Air line failure is a failure of the tubing which connects the air bags or struts to the rest of the air system, and is typically DOT-approved nylon air brake line. This usually occurs when the air lines, which must be routed to the air bags through the chassis of the vehicle, rub against a sharp edge of a chassis member or a moving suspension component, causing a hole to be formed. This mode of failure will typically take some time to occur after the initial installation of the system as the integrity of a section of air line is compromised to the point of failure due to the rubbing and resultant abrasion of the material. An air line failure may also occur if a piece of road debris hits an air line and punctures or tears it.
Compressor failure is primarily due to leaking air springs or air struts. The compressor will burn out trying to maintain the correct air pressure in a leaking air system. Compressor burnout may also be caused by moisture from within the air system coming into contact with its electronic parts.
In Dryer failure the dryer, which functions to remove moisture from the air system, eventually becomes saturated and unable to perform that function. This causes moisture to build up in the system and can result in damaged air springs and/or a burned out compressor.
Air Suspension Inactive usually means there is a problem with the Air Suspension. However, it will also come up when alternator or battery voltage is low, or when you reset (disconnect and then connect) the battery.
To reset it manually: while in Park, turn steering wheel all the way left, hold few seconds, and then all the way right, hold few seconds. All the warning lights will go out. Most common failure is the passenger front air strut, since batteries are prone to leaking acid, it leaks right on top of the rubber airbag and burns through it. If you keep driving with leaky air strut, you risk burning up the air compressor, as its working extra hard to compensate for the leak. Replacing the strut is easy 45min job even for a novice mechanic, and you can do it yourself. Strut can be found new for approx $750 online. If you are fed up with air suspension issues, there is a $700 kit that converts the truck to springs, and disables all of the air suspension.

Paired Blackberry Curve 8310 w/Range Rover 2005 drops calls

Ok, this isn't so much a solution as a work around.

As long as your phone is still holding the call (showing connected), once the Range Rover drops the call, hit the soft button that shows a picture of a green phone receiver....as if you were making a call. This will cause the Range Rover to reconnect the speakrs/mike to the phone, and you can continue your call in relative harmony.

I still haven't figured out how to get out of the jam when a second call comes in while you are still on the first....

Good Luck

Car won't start over heating

How do you know it's overheating if it won't start??? Have you checked the coolant level in the overflow tank? If it's dry, it's probably low on coolant, hence the overheating. If it's full, you may have a thermostat that's stuck closed. If it has already overheated, and now won't start, let's hope you haven't seized up the engine. That's thousands to repair or replace.

The cars suffer from resting electrical drain for a variety of reasons (or dealer excuses). One of the most common issues is the car wakes up and starts a lot of processes when a keyless unlocking device is used around the car. Even radio signals from other cars will wake uo the car, but not open yours. I have had no satisfactioin in curing my 2003 RR from this ailment. The car also eats batteries due to heavy drains in normal driving, get yours load tested.

2005 Land Rover LR3 side mirror

hey david,

Unfortunately their is no way to properly but the mirror back into the base and have it working like it is designed too. I have replaced a few of the mirrors, and I have yet to see a company or parts store that even sells these mirrors. Whenever one of these mirrors breaks have of the battle is ordering the right one, the factory has soooooooo many different options weird colors i've never even heard of.

So i think u'll just have to pick it up at the dealership. If you find something aftermarket let me know, but i dont think their is anything out there.
