2000 Lincoln Towncar. Keypad on door will not

The driver door module (DDM) is connected on the standard corporate protocol (SCP) communication network. The DDM controls many functions including power windows, power door locks and remote keyless entry. The DDM also communicates with the driver seat module (DSM) to control the power mirror and seat memory functions. Do you know anything about automotive electronic control modules ? The driver door module (DDM) receives inputs from the digital transmission range (DTR) sensor, ignition switch, seat switch, window/door lock switches, lighting control module (LCM), keyless entry keypad switch and remote transmitter. The DDM outputs consists of keyless entry keypad switch illumination, power door lock actuators, luggage compartment release solenoid, horn relay, and lighting control module (LCM). Best thing to do would be to have a factory scan tool hooked up to check for DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes . That should be the first step if it's not programming the code.
  • The doors do not lock/unlock using the keyless entry keypad
  • Keypad.
  • Circuitry.

99 town car intermitent wiper function inoperable

I performed a Web search using "lincoln wiper intermittent speed box" . There were diagrams and parts showing components. You should be able to find what you need after reading your search material. I once changed out a similar part in a 1984 Ford Thunderbird. My part was hanging behind the instrument panel and about midway up in the drivers' dash cavity.

1990 Lincoln Towncar, 5.0 L V-8 has a no start hot problem. It starts good when cold but will only crank continually with no engine start when hot. It does have an ignition spark from the coil to the distributor cap. And also getting a spark to the engine spark plug wires from the distributor cap. Trying to determine the cause of this problem. The engine will run after a cold start until upon engine kill, it will not restart. I replaced the fuel filter & tested the TFI module & ignition coil, they both tested good. Please give me some mechanical advice. Thank you.

Try replacing the water temperature sensors. Sometimes there are 2 with one working the dash and the other working the engine. You are probably running too lean. The "cold start sequence" kicks in at a cold to warm temperature. If the sensor is stuck on hot it will be too lean to start. You might try a new thermostat that may be more responsive than your old one. Check air filter for condition.
