Hard starting

It can be caused by a bad crankshaft sensor, plugged fuel filter, or clogged tank internal filter, as well as a failing fuel pump. Although the crankshaft sensor may not seem to be related to the fuel group, fuel demand is anticipated by counting the RPM's which is the crankshaft sensors job.Now "hard to start" issues can be fuel pump pressure problems. But do not forget the "cold start routine" which requires a temperature sensor to set the engine management system for a cold start. It becomes less of a factor when the engine is warm but would not be responsible for low fuel pressure.A simple test for vacuum leaks is to have the engine running and use a spray bottle of water on vacuum lines, intake gasket seams, EGR pod and the brake booster. A leak will reduce RPM or stall the engine. For the internal tank filter, sometimes the plastic screen on the fuel pump deteriorates and clogs the pump intake. To test that, blow air into the fuel test port. This will help clear debris inside the tank temporarily, then check fuel pressure without driving the car and stirring the tank up. If pressure improves you know the root cause of your problems.

WILL NOT START

You must have it diagnosed and find out what is causing the unwanted activation of the anti theft system, this means a trip to the dealer. the system can't be bypassed because it is fully integrated into the electronics of the engine control module.

No heat,1997 lincoln mark 8.self test dtc code 155.all funcitons but no heat.whats a guy to do?

You have a stuck air temperature control blend door problem. The blend door is what moves to divert air across the heater core and AC core to heat or coll the air or a combination of the hot and cold air streams, to blend them. To replace the part requires that the dash be removed from car as the door is located in the production.

Oil leak

HelloIn order to fix an oil leak you must know where the leak is coming from, to do this you must have the oil and dirt removed from the engine, then the best thing to do is have a dye put in the oil that glows under a black light, drive the car for 10 miles or so and look all over the engine for the source(s) of the oil leak.

I have 97 mark viii n I c that everytime I get out

Your mark viii has a air ride system. and as you drive, it has a pump under the hood. well over night it leaks down. then when you crank the engine .this pump will come on and air up the air ride system.kind of like a tire. But if just the front goes down ,Then you have a leak at the 2 front bags or lines, or connections. to find the leak try some soap in a spray bottle. after the bags are fully aired up and the engine off.some Lincolns leak worse the way they sit. it could leaking in a few places, that is what the soap is for.you can buy every part for that system from, Air Suspensions out of Orlando FLA 1-800-251-8993.plus diagrams
