My windshield wipers are not
Only 3 things can cause that no power to the motor, bad windshield washer switch, bad wind shield motor. Check for current with a volt meter at the motor with the switch on. Then remove the connector and jumper sires to the motor to verify that the motor is functional. Check for current at the switch. If the motor works and the switch has current coming in then the switch is bad. If the motor works and you have current going in and out of the switch then there is a short in the wiring between the switch and the motor.

Hi and welcome to FixYa!
Please do check the vacuum hoses for it may be disconnected or worn out. If there are loose or worn out vacuum hoses the car tends to shake or may cause stalling. Please do replace worn out hoses.

Air conditoning not blowing on heat or air ,worked
open the glove box and empty it, then look at the sides-there are stops that hole the glove box from dropping, push the sides of the box so that it drops down-you will see the heater core and blower housing-the blower housing has a harness attached to it with a two wire plug-wiggle it with the key on, blower switch on-it is a common issue and you can carefully bent the male connectors so they are closer together and then the plug will fit tighter and will work as expected.

I SWAP OUT A 96 MARK 8 ENGINE ,PUT IT IN A 95
is your 96 a 4,6 and the 95 is a 5,0 for starters the computer programming is completely different if all connectors are connected make sure the pcm is compatable for the engine swap!!!!
HI DO I HAVE TO
I have a 96, and no, you do not have to but you should for a couple of reasons-the electrical demands of the compressor running are very high, and the sensors for the leveling system are sensitive enough that moving while they are trying to set your trim hight would be something to consider. While on the subject, you should try to find spares of these items-VCRM's (is a relay module that controls the fuel pump, cooling fan and other important components). Look for a spare set of IMRC's (left and right they open and close the secondary intake runners) the ones on a 96 are unique to that year. A spare computer is also not a bad thing to have, since there are no other ECU's from any other year (or car), period.
Car wont start due to
your transponder in the key is not responding to cars ECU. take the car in recovery to authorised Car company. and they will builda new key with transponder!
Check if Fuel Pump Is
The quick and simple way is to turn the key to the on position and listen to see if you hear the fuel pump come on. Another way is to pop one of the fuel lines to see if your getting a steady flow while cranking the engine over.
1996 lincoln mark viii, the car drops
If you mean your suspension drops, it might be time for new air bags-they need to be replaced every 8 to 10 years, they just wear out. A good way to tell where, specifically. the leak is would be to turn the air ride switch off after you have driven it and park it overnight, on a level spot. The next morning, you will see which individual bag is leaking because you have taken the solenoids out of the equasion. You can then plan on replacing just one defective bag, just be aware that he other side is probably not far behind. By the way, they are not that hard to do yourself, the toughest part is getting the bottom bolt out, noting a good heavy hammer can't fix. I have a 96, it is the rarest of the Mark VIII's, and I am sure you know that it has some one-off parts that are hard to fine-VCRM, IMRC's, the computers (ECM)-if you are going to hang on to it, keep an eye out for a junkyard car and get those parts, it is the difference between having a nice running car and a planter in the back yard.
Air ride goes down at
the mark 8s are programed to drop down at high speeds. if not it would constantly be trying to self level.

the shift-lock release mechanism must be wired in with the tail lights. if you unplug the neon light and replace the fuse does it work? if so there's a short in the light assy. somewhere, if not there's a short somewhere else.
