According to my latest Alldata program there is no code P1139 for a 1995 Lincoln Continetal.
Are you quite sure you have the correct code #? What are your symptoms, if any?

nope,, after removal of a few items, you should have room to do that repair ,, that motor has 2 timing chains , so before removal,, be sure and mark all timing marks , ( as the motor sits before removal) once apart, do not crank the motor,,

I would check the oil level. newer cars have a safety feature that if the oil is too low it will not run to prevent futhur damage to your motor-good luck.

As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the positive batter connector and let it sit for atleast 5mins. before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and can get your vehicle back to it's normal operation.

Your vehicle is equipped with two cooling fans. There are also two cooling fan relays. One relay turns the fans on low speed the other turns them on high speed. They should BOTH be running anytime the A/C is on and the A/C compressor is engaged. If they do not, then there is a problem with your fan circuits, fan relays, The wiring to the fans, A/C request data going to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), or the relay control circuit between the PCM and the fan relays.

The only way to properly diagnose this problem is with a scanner that is able to command the HIGH and LOW fan relays on and off so the ciruits and fan motor operation can be verified.

It sounds like you aren't getting enough fuel to keep it running. So it is probably the fuel filter being clogged and needing replacement or the fuel pump.
