I need the cylinder head torque settings for 1997
1998 Hyundai Lantra "G4GM" engine 1795cc.there are two heads or blocks, one is called the M10, other is the M12, figure out which one you have cause the torque is different for stage one by 5nm...........
Dont get confused theres 2 different engines so 2 different torques for stage1---------
heres the full details: Stage 1 - m10 = 30nm / m12 = 35nm-------------------------- -------- Stage 2 - tighten by 60-65 degrees ------------ stage 3 - tighten by 60-65 degrees. no sequence is given in the data book for tightening so go off what you thinks right, it doesn't matter on this engine.
1997 elantra wont turnover all the way everything
hi from uk from the symptoms you describe? it sounds like the cambelt has broken or tensioner has failt allowing belt to slip some teeth resulting in valve timing out ? hence pistons contact with valves however if you try turning the crankshaft backwards by hand using a socket or spanner? if it will turn then stop same as rotating clockwise ? this is a sure sign of belt problem did car suddenly cut out ? or some other reason ? any more info would help to help you ps advise you not to use starter again untill diagnosis of problem
I replaced my altenator a week ago. Now my power
There are several possibilities.
1. power steering pump locked up or locking up (extremely low fluid could cause this)
2. a random pully could have locked up and caused the belt to break, resulting in a loss of power steering.
Hope this helps
My 97 Elantra won't start. It's a manual
do you mean it wont turn over until you push the clutch pedal in, then after several attempts it finally did turnover and run???? clutch switch may be going bad.
