Anchorage points in Hyundai Excel 98

I have found the anchor points on my car, and would suggest they would be in the same place on yours. Mine are on the inside back panel, as in the panel behind the rear break lights / indicators etc, inside the boot. You should see, in amongst the other irregular shaped holes, three holes into what appears to be more solid parts of the plate. They are positioned one behind each of the 3 rear seat positions to allow you to choose where you are placing your seat. The anchor just screws directly into these holes.

Authomatic transmition

If the transmission was repaired by an accredited transmission shop there should be a warranty on the workmanship and parts so check out that aspect first. IF not then you will have to have the unit repaired again but ensure that they use only genuine parts . IT is not unusual for the bans and clutch faces to break down and some makers are on they 20th mod to fix the problem. Check with the service department service centre to see if there is a service bulletin out that may specify a mod to stop what has happened.

Automatic transmission sounds like it stuck in 3rd gear

You need to check the transmission fluid level, if it is low the tranny will not shift. If, however, the fluid is to the proper level then you will need a new transmission.
Try putting new fluid in and look for a leak in the pan gasket, then all you may need is a transmission service. When the service is done the mechanic will look for pieces of metal in the old fluid, if found this is very bad and you will need a new tranny.
You might consider a new or used car, you can definately find a good deal out there!

Hyundai excel 1996 automatic will engage reverse

It appears you have a Forward Clutch FAILURE. Replace the trans after you get it diagnosed and verified by a professional technician. By the way, do you have a Check Engine light? If so, what is the diagnostic code? The dealership can scan the system and find any codes which may have been stored in the TCM (Transmission Control Module). If there were any 'Incorrect Gear Ratio" codes, it's most probably the trans itself.
