1992 Saturn SL2 Questions & Answers
92 saturn sl2 1.9 liter
I had this same problem and put a switch inside the car to turn on the relay remotely. But I believe it is the connection at the temperature sensor near the top of the transmission. My wires were stretched at this sensor from the factory. I have not tried to replace it rework it but if you used an ohm meter you could determine if the wires and or sensor have continuity. This is not the same sensor that runs the temperature gauge in the dash.

I get my from advanceautoparts. I buy the Bosch ones, single wire. Make sure to put on anti-seize paste and some dielectric grease on the connector

Part No. 13043
Will not start everytime i try
if you just keep playing with it and it works sometimes it might be your starter if you remove it autozone or oreilleys will test it free but it sounds like your brushes are going bad
let me know
good luck,

? oil leak-block to head at oil pressure sensory gallery?
well first clean the area and find out what is exactly leaking. like make sure its not a valve cover gasket or ahead gasket. you can remove it and make sure it hasent got electrollisis and eaten away at the threads if it is the sensor itself i usually go to a pick and pull yard and grab one or two when u put it back on i recomend a tiny bit of teflon it will probably end up missing but it will also help keep it sealed that should cover just about every situation
good luck,
let me know how it goes

My uncle was a Saturn tech for 15 years he always told me you don't really need it all it does is cycles some of the exhaust back through the engine to burn off a little excess fuel. My 92 sl2 had over 500 k miles and didn't have it from day 1
Car wont start.went out to crank it this morning it cranked for a second then went dead it has gas.i
It may be the antitheft system.
The security, antitheft or lock picture/icon is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterprets this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down the fuel to your vehicle. This link explains it pretty well.

WHY IS THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT ON IN MY SATURN??
The Check Engine light will light when the ECU stores a trouble code.
Counting the Flashes
To retrieve trouble codes, turn the ignition key to the "on" position with the engine OFF.
The Check engine light will flash many short blinks. The total number of blinks equals the code number. For example, flash, pause, flash, flash = code 12.If more than one code is stored, the Check engine light will flash the codes in sequence (lowest to highest) with a pause between each code. The codes will repeat until the key is turned to the OFF position.
