How to remove the key tumbler from a 2003 Saturn

Before you go to all that trouble , buy a small can of WD 40 , it should come with a straw to apply in small places , spray in the keyhole, work the key in and out, spray and do this several times. this will remove the old grease and lubricate the tumblers , the freezing point of WD 40 is around - 63 degrees C.

The firing order is stamped on the engine, over by the left side, near the top. The # 1 cylinder is the one farthest to the left, facing the engine.

Was there a recall on timing chain for Saturn L200

Saturn never did a recall on them, but a little Googling will find you a wealth of knowledge about the problems that the 2.2L engines had with timing chains...more correctly, timing chain tensioners. It appears that the engine did/does not supply sufficient oil to the tensioner and approximately every 60-80K miles, it will fail and allow the timing chain to jump time. This can be catastrophic if it occurs at speed since the engine had aluminum heads and is an interference type engine. I recommend that if you have one that has failed, repair it and dump it, or just dump it. If you want to keep it, plan on servicing the timing chain every 50000 miles to avoid needing head replacement. My daughter had a 1999 Cavalier with the 2.2L engine. The first time the tensioner failed, it happened as she turned the car off and no head damage occurred. Replacement of the timing chain/gears/tensioner fixed it and then 60000 miles later, on the Interstate, it happened again. This time it took the head with it. Lesson learned.

My horn would say on and it burned out the horn. I

find the fuse and relay panel and pull out the horn relay. the panel location is provided in the owners manual and a listing of what is what in there is on the back of the panel lid. the relay can be stuck, they are sold cheap new at auto parts stores. if that does not fix it then the switch in the steering wheel is bad and it requires much more mechanical aptitude to replace it.

Cigarette lighter not working

Check to see if the fuse is blown, If it is pull out the cigar lighter and make there is nothing metalic in the socket shorting it out causing the fuse to fail. Now replace the fuse. Some cell phone chargers pull excessive amps when they get old and blow the fuse.

Saturn l200 2003-Battery tested good, and

The battery is being drained by some electrical equipment or componant...
remove one of the battery cables onthe terminal and thn try to rub it on the terminal and see if the sparks are there and if they are heavy.
If youdo find heavy sparks ..tht proves tht somewhere in the electricals something is 'on' when it should not be so.
Hope this helps!

You are not the only one. Ive met a good many of Saturn owners (most were 2001 L300 drivers) but they were plagued with the problem you have and practically identical codes. The following remedies have been known to work:

1. Replacement Battery Cable
2.Replacement ECU Wiring Harness
3. Replacement of ECU
