try taking the negative off the battery for 20 secs then put it back on and try it

one of tha abs and traction sensors has blown

seems like your air con relay has gone bad. that what happened to my ford xr6. you need to take to car to air con technicians, since it is not user serviceable.

Little tab/catch sticking out to hold it shut, spray well with WD-40 or similar & keep trying it, that may do it.

no its not a flasher issue there is a spring in the control arm thats causing this to sound/ So what I am saying its the switch that may need to be replaced or the metal rod is bent in the steering column Believe me I now its sounds weird. Sorry Lisa this is one recall if this is a Jaguar XKR coupe if it is a convertible there are 8 , On the site its pretty easy read the about us and why I do this Basically its to help people get things done inexpensive or what kinds of Shops to go to where you can save up to 50 dollars an hr. I also follow through on the help to make sure everything was done and nothing more.

You have to remove the hub to remove the bolts, if they won't come out by rotating the hub.

To remove the hub, take the cap off at the center of the hub (the cap would be poking you a the center of the hub, and is about 2 inches in diameter.

There should be a cotter key or something preventing the spindle nut from turning. Remove it. If there is a cover over the spindle nut, remove it. Take the spindle nut off. Pull lightly on the hub, and it will come off. Watch for the front bearing to pop out.

To reassemble, put hub back on spindle, put bearing and washer against bearing, thread on spindle nut and tighten while rotating hub. Back off 1/2 to 1 flat add cover (if used) and install cotter key.

not a easy job takes experienced techs about 2.5 hrs book time. will need both belt tensoiner tools and drain coolant & remove expansion tank

i was told by a jaguar dealer that a phone module c/w bluetooth feature can be added to activate phone system for $1400.00 can

Looks like you have acommunication problem with the computer, it is going in to safe mode. Check all computer connections before you go to jaguar.
I have attached a picture of the error code.

The link is a person who wants to add bluetooth to his jag, follow the thread it sounds like an expensive option$1500. Your phone maybe compatible bit only if you have the option fitted.

u probally need to change the shift assmebly , i had a problem like this with my x-type , where as the key would not come out , it was because there is some kind of button down in the shifter that gets pressed when the car is pushed in park , so probaly something broke in ur shifter , and that button is not getttin pressed to release the key .

is parking brake an electrical one or a manual one ,as different models in states to europe .if it is electric operated then call out required and tow truck ,if its manual operated it can be released ,well havent seen one or worked on one yet but evan if its electric operated iam thinking it must be possible to disengage it manually with a screwdriver in the rachet mechanism.The last time i had a car do this it was a re-programme of the ECU which is dealer only .Before you call garage try taking battery leads off and touching them together for 30 secs ,batterys in the boot /trunk right hand side
