Radiator fans won't shut down
The fans are controlled by the Engine Coolant Temperature sensor mounted in the coolant hose at the top front of the engine. Disconnect the electrical connector and see what happens. Fans should not run. If that cut the fans off replace the ECT sensor.
The ECT sensor provides input to the Engine Control Module which controls the radiator fan ...Its usually the center sensor connector thats Grey..

Hi my jag xjr 4lrt wont start it has fuel supply
It takes three things to make an engine run. Fuel, spark and air. If you have fuel and spark at the cylinder, there's no reason it should not start. One or the other is missing. The only way to tell if the fuel and spark are reaching the cylinder is to pull a spark plug. Try to start the engine then pull a plug. If you are getting fuel, the spark plug will be wet and smell of gasoline. If it's dry, no fuel is reaching the cylinder. Put the plug wire back on the spark plug and lay the plug down where you can observe it while cranking the starter. If you are getting spark, yo will see the voltage arc across the tip of the spark plug. Perform this test and find out which one is missing and then you can trace down the problem.
Cranks but doesn't catch or start
Hi! This can be caused by a faulty TPS (throttle position sensor). If the TPS is faulty the car may not start, only cranks. Try to run a scan tool too for specific fault codes. Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!
1996 Jaguar XJ6 - seeking toque spec for front hub bearing?
They are taper roller bearings, when new something like 8 or 10 pound feet, used ones tigten until only a little play exists (if you have steel wheels leave the wheel on and it is easy to feel the play even if packed with fresh grease)
If you overtighten they will growl and overheat and fail
