89 Saab Turbo convertible top problem

Check for power at the motor.
If you have it there and it doesn't run, you have a bad motor.
If you have no power, check at the relay.
If the realay has power in and not out, yoou have a bad relay.
If the relay has no power in, check the switch.

My 98' saab 900 won't start.

I would look at the Fuel Pump Relay, and Fuse Box, Fuse Box relays. Also if Relays Check out see if there is a Fuel Pump Intertia Switch and Where it is located..!!! R - U - sure its fuel ...??? maybe hit the intake with a little Either Starting Fluid see if it fires...I have found the Fuse Box Itself Will Arch and Burn Out Contacts so time for Fuse Box....Just Thinking hope this helps....Merry Christmas

Key wont turn in the ignition is there anything

you can try getting a tube of powerded graphite lock lube, the pins in the lock cylinder are sticking and causing this problem, the lube may free them up, DONOT USE ANYTHING LIKE WD40, IT WILL GUM THE LOCK UP, NO OIL LUBE OF ANY KIND. the lock lube is avil at hardware stores and lock shops.

How do i put the top down manually on 98 900 saab

There's a red lever behind the rear passenger seat, fold down the rear seats to the trunk and you'll see it. Pull the lever down, and this should disengage the convertible motor. You should now be able to move the top up or down with some resistance against the hydraulic fluid left in the lines.

My saab 93 convertible 1998.roof

there should be a alan key port on the drive motor/pump side that if you remove will allow you to put fluid into keep in mind that this is a closed system. The fluid should not need to be topped up unless there is a leak... good luck
