Quite a few things can cause a car to die after idling for awhile, but if you have verified that the fuel pressure is actually dropping when the motor dies, the likely culprits are:
1) Electric fuel pump in the gas tank is bad
2) The fuel pressure regulator (on the throttle body) is bad
3) An electrical problem in the power to the fuel pump (like a bad fuel pump relay or lose ground wire to the relay's circuit)

Yes, the fuel pump is immersed in Gasoline which lubricates and cools the pump as it runs. As little as 5 minutes can wear out the pump seals so it doesn't create enough pressure. You can test the flow and the pressure and you will need to bleed the air out of the lines.

The clutch may need to be adjusted. The clutch system bleed. The internal syncros may be worn.

Check your brake light fuse and switch. The power to the interlock system comes from them.

Your childproof lock have nothing to do with the latch not closing. It only makes it where you can not open the door from the inside. I would think you are in need of a new latch.

didnt specify year or if the a/c is by-passed not hooked up -- but if you have a serpentine belt a little over 1 inch wide thats only a single belt and is routed around all components -sometimes if a/c compressor is bad people buy a shorter belt and by-pass rather then fix a/c ---if the belt is narrower about 1/2 size and thick --look at the crank pulley or any of the pulleys have grooves then belt broke off or was disconnected for some reason

Blue smoke (how many miles on engine, 50k or 500K??????? to some this means, burning oil, others steam it that blue smoke lingers a long time that is oil burning and smells just like oil burning. and means 2 things, 1: engine burns oil. 2: if car had autotmatic trans the vacuum modulator love fail and suck ATF fluid to the intake plenum and burn it, and bingo burning oil like mad. 3: PCV valve packed solid,and forces engine to leak oil or burn oil. or both. this is a 50k miles service point, skipping this? 4: gas in the oil making it thin and not sneaks past valve stems. does oil change cure this.>? now engines. worn out engines smoke. (burn oil) as do bad valve guides and seals. and bad piston rings. 100 years same story, and miles matter. History on engine too. matters.

Is this your third post for the same issue? If you can't get someone to read the codes for you, run the usual basic tests. Do you get spark to the plugs when cranking? Do you have the correct fuel pressure at key on? Has the timing belt broken?

Rear seat. That's easier than the drivers seat.

That's not good. To fix the problems you need the door panel off. You have 2 options. Remove the drivers seat and remove the panel. It might break if there are screws around the outside edge. Or just tear the panel out. Being it's a 98 and if were mine. I would find the panel first, then tear it out. I've tired it all. Usually on older cars, the nuts/bolts break on the seat brackets. Rust. That's a whole other problem in it self.
