I don't have much experience with Kia but typically a key light is an immobilizer problem. If the key light is intermittant and coincides with the non start, that is probably it.

If the brake lights stay on even if the car is turned off (or even if it is on) the first thing I would be checking is the brake pedal switch under the dash. Brake lights are activated when the brake pedal is depressed and comes off the switch or the return spring is broken or stretched not allowing it to fully return when foot is taken off the brake pedal.

Have someone pull the release and hit the hood at the latch with your hand, not too hard, and pull up on the hood at the same time

fuses check ,front left knee

use a scanner to reset the light

You can pick up a cheap $35.00 obd scanner tool and find out what code is tripping and also reset the codes.

Open the bleeder screws on the calipers, each one has a screw

hi firstly check if you actually here the motor when you activate it and if you do check and trace your pipes from the motor to the out let to see if the pipes are not brocken.if you don't here the motor check fuses first then see if the is current coming to the motor if all is right and motor still does not work the motor is then fualty. hope this helps regards nazeer
