Location of computer connection in 2006 XJ8L
Hi.
Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes ,to reset the computers memory, and reconnect.
I have had a few cars with this problem, and its the "gremlins" as I call them, giving you false signals, usually originating when battery is flat.
Good Luck.
John.

How do you install windshield wipers on a 2005
The blades will slide either direction once you remove the locking pin, and make sure you disconnect the washer jet line from the assembly first, then raise the washer arms, remove the lock pin or fasciners. This will allow you to pull the blade free ..keep me posted
To remove the protector, lift the wiper blade and pull the crimped end as shown in Illustration 2.

What is the recommended oil
I switched to a full synthetic oil, and never looked back. You can get 10000 miles out of full synthetic easily. Some people say you never have to change it, but i go 10000 and have for 90,000 miles and still runs smooth as the day i bought it. Castrol Syntec is a very good synthetic oil.
