STEAM FROM EXAUST

When you first start the car in cold weather it is normal for the exhaust to emit water vapour (steam) until the engine reaches normal running temperature.

I put coolant in my ad its blowing cooler but not

Coolant will keep the engine from overheating and will give you heat when cold but will not make it blow cold. That's what refrigerant is for.

Fuel system 37 failure, what does this mean and how do you fix it?

just block off the the EGR valve with a home made gasket from a coca cola can ,its not important and will not stop the car from running ,check the fuel pressure as this i think could be the problem it should read 55lbs ,on the fuel rail is tyre valve looking thing ,undo the cap and put a pressure gaug on here ,one of them stick type tyre pressure gauges will do the job as your in the middle of nowhere ,just check the fuel line pressure and iam sure you wll find its low and new pump could be the order of the day

No fire going to plugs 1994 jaguar xj6

Try replacing the plug wires. Unfortunately you can't replace just one, so you're going to have to replace the whole set.

1994 jaguar xj6 will not stsrt

Check immobiliser switch (fitted to drivers side footwell on Right hand drive cars) designed to kill engine and fuel pump if car turns over. Sometimes jumping the kerb can set them off. Also check central electrode in distributor cap.

1994 jaguar ignition coil...my car turns over but sometimes wont start. We put a tester on the fuel pump to see if that was it, but when it didn't start the pressure was at 44lbs so it was working

Hi Kenny, The fuel pressure is on the low side. I would also check the crank and cam pickup sensors. Another point of interest should be the temperature sender unit that sends to the computer. I would suspect the igniter before the ignition coil. regards John
