The reset button is behind the carpet, just above the drivers foot pedals (right hand side on a right hand drive). It's function is described in the owners manual, which may be located in a slide at the top of the glove box.

the dealer checked the radio serial#? you will have to remove the radio and give them the serial#. in US I don't think that they have codes.

I'm not sure what you mean by "reset" but have a look for an OBDII / EOBD AUTO SCANNER (there's usually one or two on ebay.) Is that the sort of job you want to do?

Forget about fuse box id. Just test all fuses one by one with a test light until you find the bad one.

you can easily check it by removing the tire the grab the brake rotor and rocking it side to side. If it moves by hand and you can visually see it too, you certainly have a worn socket in the ball joint. Take notice of the tie rod end which is connected to the same spindle the ball joint attaches to also

I would guess the alternator is trying to run a maximum capacity, thats usually why they get hot, if you put the alternator on, take it back to the parts place you got it and have them warranty it, if you had a shop do the reapirs a year ago, you should still have warranty on it.. ps the light may flicker if its overcharging as well as undercharging. usually the regulator internally is bad.

Good luck.

chances are your distributor got wet. open the distributor, dry the inside and clean the contacts with a piece of sand paper.. thats should give you the spark you need to get started.
if it isnt that check your coil.
your distributor looks like this,,
see its held by two spring clips, open the clips tp open the distributor,, clean it , clean the metal pins inside with sand paper,, put it back up..

fairly common concern but before we replace anyting else can you do a volt drop test to confirm the alt/bat wire is good

using a DVOM, (digital Volt Ohm Meter), hook one side to the POSITIVE battery post, with the other DVOM lead, hook to the large nut on the alternator.

Measure DC Volts with the car on, engine running
Anything greater than .5v = bad wire(replace and retest)

They sell a special wrench to do this. I typically cut the ram and use a small pipe wrench to turn the ram leaving a box wrench on the nut. If you have torches you can just burn the top off the shock. They are much easier to put back in!!
