p1599 refers to TPS (throttle position sensor) Stop by a local parts store (Advance, Autozone, etc) and have them do a free fault scan for you.

I loosen the pully bolts first, take off the belt. move the a/c compressor (leaving the hoses connected) take the pully off and you will find a ring of bolts on the outside of the water pump. Its easy. takes about 40 minutes.

sometimes when the vehicle runs fine without any problems it is just something like an o2 censor you should take it to a local shop to get a diagnosis.

I think if it is the same as my car you will find it behind the battery toward the drivers way.. it is behind the air box.. if you look by the wall of the engine compartment you will see a red thing it doesnt look like a dip stick. More like a red swich/clip thing.. pull up and it and you will have dipstick!!

TRy replacing the idle air control valve

When you turn the key you hear a single click and you can not hear the starter cranking the engine over? After several attempts the starter finally cranks the engine over?

Open the hood and locate the offending light twist it approx. 1/4 turn and remove it from housing. If you have not already done so unplug it from harness and replace with same type bulb.

If your battery cables are clean and tight, your starter solenoid is probably getting ready to quit on you... Replace the starter assembly.

open glove box, pull out manual, look up clock, follow instructions. you are going to be facing this crisis at least twice a year for the rest of your driving life, learn to help yourself now.

Check the fuse box under the hood. You're looking for a 10amp fuse. On the under side of the lid of the fuse box is a diagram showing what each fuse does. I just had the same problem and after putting in a new battery ( which it needed anyway) and having it towed to a service station, the mechanic called and said the 10amp fuse under the hood was bad. That was all that was wrong. I even checked the fuses before calling for the tow truck, but I couldn't see any bad ones. I think the key to this repair was that the fuel gauge wasn't working even though you knew definitely that there was gas in the car!

Check both, but start with alternator before climbing underneath pulling starter.

Check the fuse for the cigarette lighter, replace with same value. Fuse box is either in the glove box, under the driver side dash or left side dash with driver door open.

Maybe you have a coolant leak some where.
Have the radiator pressure tested and go from there.

If the water pump is bad, it starts to leak first and then quits working and your car will overheat.

take a good battery from another car that you absolutely know is good. Try to prime the motor twice turn the ignition to start position...do not crank turn ignition off turn ignition to start position and try to start
