The car does not start, never know what is the

If the engine doesn't even turn over when you turn the key, then you need to first listen to see if you hear the fuel pump running. This will be a low hum. If you don't then your ignition cylinder (the part that you turn your key in) is bad, otherwise your starter/starter solenoid is bad and needs to be replaced. The starter can generally be tested at any auto parts store (sometimes for free). Ether way, one of these two things is your problem if the car won't turn over and your battery is good. Let me know what else I can help you with.

My key is stuck on

if it is stuck "ON" the door I recommend checking to see if someone played a bad prank on you using Crazy Glue or the like, the only way to get it unstuck is by means of nail polish remover, which you will have to be careful it doesn't remove the paint if it should accidentally splash on it, try it in an inconspicous area first like on the paint inside the door, if the key is stuck "IN" the door meaning it is in the lock cylinder and won't come out.... short of removing the door and bringing it to a locksmith, I would recommend first trying to spray WD 40 into the lock all around the side of the key and penetrating the lock tumblers inside, while sprayiing(wera eye protection) try to "jiggle" the key all ways to get it free, the tumblers may be clogged up and sticking from weather elements, WD 40 works great on locks.
If all fails call in a locksmith they house call but get an idea of the price first before they come so you can be aware of the basic costs before hand.
The lock cylinder may have been violated meaning someone may have stuck a tool into it and tried to break into the car that is may be why the key is stuck as well, the lock smith will know.
Hope this works.

I have a 1997 Porsche

Being that it is a porsche the easiest way to do this is to take it to your local porsche/import mechanic that is qualified and have them make the repair. When buying a car like this you should always expect to have some higher then usual maintainance/repair costs then compared to an average vehicle.
Thank you,

Hi I have a porsche

Might be the central locking system. Try using the key in the door (rather than the remote control) to deactivate the security system. Also make sure that the center console is completely closed (this is part of the central locking system).

How do i remove the gear knob - 1997 porsche

Use a flat bladed screwdriver or you hands to lift the bottom of the boot away from the console. It has small clips that hold it down on the console. They just pop out. Once the boot is free all around and if you have the standard shifter, you can then pull the shifter off. The amount of force may vary depending on your car. Some have found it very easy to remove, other have found it more difficult. If it is difficult to remove, sit in the passengers seat, put the shifter in reverse and using the floor for leverage, pull on the shifter while pressing into the floor with your feet. I should come off. If not, try applying some heat to the neck of the shifter just below the knob, being careful not to damage the leather, and try again. If you have a shifter other than the base shifter, you will need to use a T30 Torx screwdriver to loosen a screw under the boot in the front of the shaft of the shifter just below the knob.

How to install a cabin air filter in a 2001

Porsche offers option an option called the Active Carbon Filter (M571) for $458. However, you can purchase the same part at your dealer parts counter for under $70. The part number for the active carbon filter is 996.571.219.01. The active carbon filter reduces the air pollution by using charcoal in the filter.
To replace the existing filter with the new one you must open the front trunk, remove the battery cover. It is in the middle at the top and has two knobs that you turn to remove. Once it is off you remove the black plastic cover to the left of the battery. It requires that you remove a single Torx screw so you will need a Torx screwdriver. Once you remove the cover you will see the filter to the left rear. It is about 10X6 or so. Simply remove the old filter and replace it with the new one. Then reverse the process on the covers and you are done. It will take less than five minutes start to finish.

2004 porsche boxer Why does the battery go dead

All modern cars have a natural current drain; it's part of having an alternator. In today's vehicles, the parts of the alternator remain energized, as well as a certain few accessories, including your computer. A recommendation: if you aren't going to be driving your car for at least 2 weeks, unhook the battery, or install a battery cutoff switch. This way you don't kill the new battery. Your other car is likely a stroke of luck that enables it to last as long as it does.

Alarm wont work and car is completely death no

Your battery is dead and it is also in the trunk. The truck is electrically opened. Go to the local auto part store or walmart and buy a charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter. Once the battery charges a little, you can pop the trunk, get the manual, replace the battery, etc.

How can you tell if your water pump is bad

It could be either hose or the pump. Introduce no more antifreeze to this car until you have found your leak as you are just wasting your money.

You are going to have to visually inspect it for the leak. Typically if it is a pump, the pulley and the underside of the pump will be wet.

I have an intermittent. my car does not start time

When it doesnt start, does it make a at least a clicking noise? Maybe a clunk? A loud clunk but the starter wont engage means the starter solenoids contact is bad. A click would indicate either a loose connection to the starter solenoid or a bad contact on the relay. No sound at all is a bit more complicated to trouble shoot.
