After replacing the front bumper cover and rt h/l,
I'm not familiar with JAG but MOST cars have a switch in the front and the back that is called a fuel shutoff switch. I am going to say you may have bumped the switch and it shut off the fuel pump. The switch on most cars is located under the bumper area or around the grill area. Your best bet is to go to the local auto parts store and buy a repair manual for your car and start looking the the electrical schematic section to locate where the Fuel shutoff switch is located.
My 1998 xk8 conv. my window won't go back up after i shut the doo
first get in the car turn on ignition sit in the seat next to the window that does not close .close door press window switch down until window is all the way down hold your finger on the switch all the time and hold it there for 10-15 sec after the window is down then do the same but with the window going up this will reprogram the window so it knows where it is.for this fault to happen the power to the window has become disconnected, replaced battery with door open is the useual one. good luck.
Stalls when I put it in drive
check the induction system for air leaks, the throttle body is also suspect, clean the butterfly and housing. sounds like it is all blocked up with carbon/sludge. check all the vacuum hoses try and get someone with a obd2 code reader to check for any fault codes to help give you a clue. hope this helps
Remove back seat to entry trunk
if you can not get in the trunk with your plip there is more than likeley a broken wire around the trunk hinge,or the exterior switch has failed. a manual key point is located in the badge on the trunk,rh side, it may be siezed because it is not used very much until the plip gives a problem, try it, if it is siezed spray some wd40 or something in it and keep trying.the rear seats are easy to remove but i do not think you can get in to the trunk that way because the fuel tank is there the only other way is to drill a hole behind the rear number plate to access the boot latch, good luck.
What causes my 1998 Jaguar XK8 not to start when initially cranked and the Fail Safe message is displayed?
Is the check engine light displayed? If it is, that's where you start, by retrieving the fault code(s). If not, then you could have a security system fault, fuel system breakdown, etc. All codes, regardless of the systems affected, will cause the vehicle computer to immediately default to a failsafe mode, till the problem has been fixed, and this drastically affects driveability, causing no-start issues, idle problems, etc.
P1000 code how do I remove this code
Hi, now it depends, I take you have a code reader? if so you should have a code reset? If the car is as you said, remove and clean injectors, I know its a pain, but as the car is not running this is the only way to clean them.

The door post inside trim has gon limp like old
I would not re-stretch the material, as it is likely dry rotted by now. If you carefully take the panel apart, and often these days they are glued together, you might replace that panel. Look online for matching cloth. I think this kind of job can be fun if you take your time, are observant, and careful. You might be so good you'll want to replace all your panels to give it that updated look. Otherwise, take the panel out and get an estimate from a local upholstery shop to avoid any hassles. If the panel is in the car, it will be much more expensive.
Convertible top oil
CHF 11S use a large syringe with a rubber or plastic tube on the end to suck it out of the bottle and get it in the oil tank. You will have to find out where the oil was lost from my guess is the rams that operate the conv top take out the back seat only a 2 min job and look on the floor pan and around the rams for oil good luck.
Coolent light stays on but not overheating
inside the top up tank there is a little float, I usually locate it and just work it up and down with a screwdriver, lots of times as the float can get stuck, failing this check the little sender unit under the said tank, but I must stress KEEP AN EYE ON TEMP GUAGE. This is a proper pain as I experience this often but used to it now, once a week when checking water level I just put screwdriver in and bounce the little float. hope this helps
