look into camshaft position sensor, i know of three sensors that will do this, throttle body, cam shaft, and timing. hope it helps

I am having the same issue on my 2002 Q45, most people that have had this problem have replaced the Starter Solenoid - You dont need to replace the whole starter, unless you have alot of miles. I ordered the part and I am going to try and install it this weekend. Almost everyone with this problem said that after replacing the solenoid the problem went away. Either do it yourself or have an independent mechanic do this, the dealer wants $900 for replacing the starter parts and labor. Solenoid is about 92 bucks online OEM.

hood lever inside first, then pull up on the hood, it should only come up about 2 inches, then the lever should be dead center kind of behind and below the grille.

P1212 is an ABS issue so won't cause it not to go, U1000 is caused by a poor or loose Ground connection. This could be almost anywhere on the car but start in the engine bay and wok from there, removing and cleaning ground points and re-tightening.

well i dont think its a major job but i think the feed pipe could be leaking ,when the oil is under pressure its closing up a union somewhere ,but when pressure drops it leaks ,couldnt tell you where or how without a good inspection ,could evan be the rack and pinion but without a good look ?? .Anyway if your good with computers you could always answer a few questions on here to help out ??

I had to take my to Infiniti...code B1049: for open in drivers air bag module. They replaced drivers air bag module and clock spring...there is a third piece associated with that problem, but I did not need it because the light stayed off after they cleared the code

Certainly it may have a sensor circuit issue.
But the mechanic if he has the capability to diagnose your ABS would have found that before the conclusion of the ABS pump.
If your mechanic is trusted and has treated you well in the past perhaps you will have to go along with it.
But if you have doubts, another opinion by a qualified shop is recommended.

Your infinity has a computer capable of storing codes related to ABS systems.The code(s) stored will direct the mechanic towards the area of concern. Ask what codes were stored, then look it up or ask me here.
If the guy that is working on your car does not have these tools to access these codes, pull it out of there.

yes it is the only way to get to the headlamp to take it out

I have the ABS/SLIP/TCS OFF light problem and solved it by replacing the ABS integrated relay module. It sits above the ABS actuator which is located just in front of the passenger side of the firewall and it has 3 connectors exiting the module and one attaching screw at the top.

I have no idea what might be causing your other issues.

These are sealed units so if a new light bulb is needed change it from the back side of the headlamp assembly

check your relay.if the relay is not defective,check your switch.

see your dealer or your local auto parts store for a new switch for best results.

I had the same problem, turned out to be the starter.
You can get a rebuilt for about $250.
I think it will cost abou $300 for a shop to do the work.

Check the gear-box oil level and also check the gear-box oil filter it may need replacing.
