If you are referring to the battery, generally the cables are color coded red for positive and black for negative. If they are not colored, The battery is marked at the terminals near where the cables bolt on with a plus ( + ) sign for positive and a minus sign ( - ) for negative......Mike

If the tensioner was loose and the chain had jumped a slot, you would have a hard time even starting the car if it even start at all. It would crank and everything but just would not start. The starter has no correlation with the tensioner. A bad starter will either do nothing, or it would clunk and not turn over.

I seen this on another car and it was for the brake fluid level.

The radiator fans should come on before the engine temperature reaches the 3/4 mark on the temperature gauge. If the needle goes anywhere near the red your fans are not working and you need firstly to look at the thermostat, and then the fan relay.

It stands for Antilock Braking System
First I would make sure the person plugged the ABS sensor back in after finishing the boot.
If they did not plug it in the ABS light will definitely come on.
If this is not the case than you should have the computer scanned by a a shop or a technician with access to a scanner that does ABS systems.

Hi, i would replace the air filter, make sure the air hose from the air filter to the intake is not kinked or blocked and check for vacuum leaks. If these are all fine, I would check the fuel pressure as it is possible the pump is weak and not supplying enough fuel.
