remove the switch , by following (old post) the FSM under steering for Ignition switch removal. this act , unlocks the lock. one other way, is to destroy the cylinder, (ask a thief) and turn the guts until it unlocks,

take to a mechanic to run OBD codes otherwise you will be changing stuff and getting nowhere without the relevent codes

I had this same thing happen on my 2005 Forenza. All of a sudden my battery was dead. When I got it jumpstarted the headlights came on bright and would not switch to dim. They also would not turn off with the switch or any other means other than pulling the fuse under the hood. Carried it to the Suzuki dealership and found out that my car had never had the headlight harness recall fix, and there were several other recalls on them for waterpumps and something else that they fixed while I was there. If you have a Suzuki Forenza you may have a recall outstanding. But I don't know if they are even still honoring repairs now that they are out of the auto business. It's worth a check by calling the nearest Suzuki dealership.
