no country stated?
gas. ok,...
now engine stated.? G16, or j20? radially different they are.

i cant see which CMP you have
the huge puck type,
or the same with extractable small CMP sensor
the latter is easy swap
the former must be timed using the timing freeze jumper clip.

no story here, the full story
one day, it stalled.
then i scanned it and 340 popped
or got 340s after the new sensors.????????

no matter check for spark.
if got spark x4
check timing,? yes, timing light work on dead engines. sure do.
if timed wrong, then you did that.
if G16 engine the cam belt slipped,
j20 is chain drive cam.
j20 has CMP sensor on the left rear DOHC cam.

if sparks ok, test fuel now works, sprayed.

IGNITION KNOCK (DETONATION) SENSOR the knock sensor Is on the back of engine (driver side on LHD vehicles) under the cam position sensor. it is a giant PITA to change. i had to cut a wrench in half (7/8 i think??) and use a pry bar to break loose the sensor..
((found this info from a Suzuki forum.))

So how bout that knock sensor Suzuki Forums Suzuki Forum Site

If the system is empty, it can take as much as 32 ounces of refrigerant (R134). If the system has been allowed to become empty, make sure you use the correct PAG OIL with the refrigerant, and use a proper refrigerant gauge when recharging to avoid overcharging the system.

I would suggest a compression test as an engine with those miles on it will be close to being badly worn
If thee is a chain problem it will not be running

yes, the J20 engine, or H25 H27?
each has different tension-er methods.

the car is metric, there are no SAE parts on car. (no 1/2" parts)
why post engine questions, with out stating the engine.??
so ill guess J20?
how to adjust part 10? (twin cam 2.0L) I4
page 18: seen here.
this is a spring type tensioner, #10 ID
seen here, clearly (has 2 mount points (fixed)
so is preset tension, ending all speculation on this. see last photo below.
-------------------------< v6>------------------------------------------------------
or the V6 ,
so happens I own one too,
and guess what, there is No tensioner like poster stated. above.
I have the FSM for car, Page 1F-15, see that photo in the FSM
the Alternator telt adjust the tension. same as the G16 engines

if you need the real FSM page., ask for it,
or read it here.
costs only $4 bucks to read it, and down load it you can

next time you have a question, you can look first.
then ask.
tension spec, is 10mm deflection at 22lbs force to belt. mid span.
7-11mm is range.

all answer USA cars, on this USA forum.

the 2.5L has 2 belts.
one has and idler. the other is alt tensioned.
the fsm cover belt 1, in cooling (alternator telt)
the FSM cover belt 2 under, P/S steering pump
and is not a spring loaded tensioner as poster guess.
its manual idler pulley with 2 slot base and 2 bolts
and needs a 12mm box end or socket to set.
and is set to same spec (tension) as the other belt, (22lbs)
if you need FSM pages, or real photos off my car, I have it
not bs.

Below is 2.0L fan belt side tension device
if you look close, see that spring there> at 7pm?

the oil level should be between the two holes in the dip stick.

2002 Suzuki... | Answered on Jan 23, 2015

hello anon.
2wd or 4wd car?, this Counts big time? i toss coin; land 4wd.
The USA car can be Vitara or Grand Vitara. and cut in dates vary for that too.
the 2002 has no end locking hubs.
so you must mean front wheel bearing hubs.
ok its easy with tools.

to be accurate i need full spec on car
engine sizes. and if 2wd or 4wd.

my guess is your car has the unified hubs. (bearings can not be removed)
you unbolt it.
you put the new hub on
you torque it to 123-180 Ft/lbs, this is the running torque not a preload)
if not, it will fail fast.

that page even has the FSM chapter page there. to see.
from a real Suzuki, 2004.
can be seen tool, at alldata.com
or at suzuki pit stop , dot com (google it) its there.

Not really possible. True vapor lock only happens on vehicles with carburetors. The gasoline would vaporize from excessive heat before reaching the carb.
What are your symptoms ?

2002 Suzuki... | Answered on Aug 04, 2014

no engine, stated. no joy.
some have 3 engines that year.
the 2.0 and 2.5L are all HLAs and there is no lash
but you said, valves, adjust what> do say what.
time the cam.? we cant guess what you are doing
why not just flat say so.????
eg.my valve covers are ticking ? or the cam cover, or what.
use a $5 stethoscope and listen and no more guessing where.
