Do you have a external leak or does your engine oil drop but you can not see a leak. My S60 had a leak and it was from the return pipe from the turbo to the sump.You can remove the belly plate and look from the bottom at the back off the engine.You will see the return pipe at the bottom of the turbo. If it does not leak at the there the turbo might be worn and it is blowing the oil into the intake.To check remove the intake hose and check for excess oil in the intake system.

The timing belt is very tricky to replace and requires a special tool to align the pulleys. It sounds like you may be off a tooth or two on the pulleys which will affect the cam position.

You have a 30% chance the plug is loose or corroded. This plug is inside the instrument panel. The rest is the logic chip has died.

The one on the left has the ejector attached so that fuel will transfer from one side of the tank to the other. Are there any codes stored for the DIM?

there ar 4 spring clips attached to the switch. the best way is to use a bone tool to pry it out without doing and damage to the surrounding area. what also helps ease the removal is tekinf the side [panel cover off the dash board on the left side and putting your hand through there to help squeeze the clips on the switch.

The problem is, the on board computer will still seek the compressor, thus only a professional at the dealership can get around these conditions.

You will have to take of the dash board. Look carefully because you may only have to take off a small section.

I will assume you meant S80 (the S60 is a 5 cyl). The side case has to come off to replace the solenoids. It's not an easy task, so replace all 4 solenoids at the same time.

disconnect the battery and place the ground cable to your frame for 10 seconds and then reconnect

It is in front of the timing cover on the pipe located on the frame rail. it is easiest to pull the P/S res and the coolant tank out of the way to work with it.

Volvo security systems will cut off power to the starter motor if triggered. Sounds more like you have a bad crankshaft sensor or camshaft sensor. They are what triggers the ECU to turn the coils on and off. Alarm is NOT your problem.
