Why do i have a hard brake pedal when off, soft to the floor when its running?

That is an easy one! You have leaking break cylinders! I just had that problem.. The smallest leak will cause your pedal to go to floor when running! It is firm when not running cause the vacuum assist is not running! I had my mobile mechanic do my brakes! Good luck with that and have those cylinders checked! I hope this helps!

Where is the flasher unit for 1999 mercury mountaineer?

It's the same flasher unit for both turn signals AND emergency flashers. Even though one side works, the other won't. If you have a good fuse for the turn signals, then replace the flasher unit.

How do you replace window washer pump?

Hi Carter, I'm glad to help! Carter, if your washer pump is mounted like most other vehicles and is easy to access, then you have a simple job. Most washers pumps are mounted in the side of the washer bottle and very simple to replace. remove the washer fluid and the hoses and wiring connector to the pump then pull the pump outward from the bottle, the pump is mostly held in place by the rubber seal. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Carter.

How can i clear obd 2 codes ?

you can clear by disconnecting the battery for about 30 seconds. be sure to note that any issues will certainly throw another error message. Better approach is to repair the problems. Often you can get the codes extracted by your local auto parts store or oil change place for free. Take the code(s) and research them. Often one failure trips several other codes as a result.

Brake shift interlock switch

Listen to me. Put the jumpers on the car, If you have a second set use them also. Go inside and have a cup of coffee and talk to the Mrs. The point I'm trying to bring out is leave the cables on the car for at least 20-30 minutes. Don't try to start it right away because the cables you have are JUNK as are most jumper cables sold today. Simply give it ample time to charge. Once you get it started, leave it running to further charge the battery.
