Check igniter or ignition coil.

HI, the fact that the light is not staying on steady all the time is a good indication the alternator is failing. I would recommend having the charging system checked.

check fluid levels add if low..change filter if clogged ..

My honda prelude 1989 runs speed and later it will be slow and cannot run again.

may need to swap the computer also.. manual computer is different..but yes.. be looking into any vacuum leaks..block off any open ports you find..

you will need a new alternator. battery light means there is no charge in the electrical system. always first check the earths and wires before changing the alternator as a faulty earth can also be the main problem.

The clutch master cylinder must have gone out, the seals in it have failed. The clutch master cylinder (next to the brake master cylinder) gives you hydraulic pressure so the clutch pedal can operate the clutch.You can buy a new clutch master, a rebuilt unit, or yours can be rebuilt with new seals. Save time and money and buy a rebuilt or remanufactured unit. Once installed, you bleed the system down at the clutch slave cylinder, mounted on the transaxle.

Have you checked to see if you have voltage at the starter terminals when the key switch is in the start position ?

Have you checked compression ?Both engines are interference style which means you can damage the valves if the belt breaks while the engine is running.

When you say ALL the lights, which lights exactly?

Hi MCC, You will need to remove the plastic cowling from around the steering column by removing the screws from its underside. Tilt the steering wheel down (if fitted with adjustment) and remove the cowling covers. Disconnect the electrical sockets and then with a cold chisel knock out the four blind bolts. Once the blind bolts are removed the switch and barrel will be easy to remove, unless the lock has activated, in which case a little force may be required to remove the release the locking tongue. However if you can get a good locksmith, who knows the job, a replacement key can be made without removing the barrel. Regards and happy new year, John

change the battery cables terminals you can get them at walmart for under 5 bucks last time I checked
