Sounds like you are misfiring. You should have Check Engine light illuminated and probably flashing. Take it to Autozone (or similar) and they will hook up to your cars computer and pull the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from it for free. Find out if you are misfiring on only one cylinder or on multiple cylinders and get back to us with the code(s) given. Good luck.

Remove turn signal. Loosen screws mounting bumper to front mudguard. Shift the bumper slightly to front/down. Headlight will probably go out (after unscrewing with 10 mm wrench).

You cant just turn check engine light off. You have to hook car up to a code reader or scan tool and read trouble codes. Repair trouble codes then erase codes and if problem was repaired check engine light will turn off.

Hi, the CMP Sensor (camshaft position sensor) is located on the back of the exhaust cam.

Radio codes are performed by the original owner. If you have the owners manual they may have wrote in in that book for reference

I have the same problem in my car volvo v40 1.6. A mechanic told me that this noise did VVT Pulley and should be changed.

it needs to be computer reset so u will have to find someone who has one. not just dealers

HelloThe Engine and Automatic Transmission (not applicable to manual transmissions) in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM and TCM (Power Train Control Module, Transmission Control Module). When a problem like this or other drive-ability related problems occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. Also always check fuel pressure for correct spec for your make and engine type.

could be anything,depends on year as to weither its common rail or not but either way its a specialist bosch diesel garage ,check the throttle linkage though in case the engine end fitting has come loose .But i suspect a electronic problem that will need specialist software to diagnose

Leave the stereo on constantly for 2 hours with the key in egnition but engine not running. After 2 hours the stereo will reset and the OFF will change to CODE.
