1998 marquis light flickering

Usually means that headlights are loose (most obvious/cheapest fix) but could be intermittent short where headlight wire is shorting to chassis ground (Visual and multimeter to find short). It could also be telling you that the alternator maybe going bad.

New battery in car. Overnight battery goes dead

dead short.most of the time its the dome light or in the door jam on the drivers side just under the foot plate. check around the screws that hold the foot plate in place.

this is common with cars unless you start the engine where it goes of immediately. Maybe 15 minutes is excessive but in that case check your lighting module for serviceability.

Ignition will not turn

if the key is manual , you will need a locksmith to reset the wafers inside the ignition. also try spare key first. if key is electronic, you will need to plug in computer. some cars have a system linking gear to ignition, eg on some mercs

There is a motor on the blend door that may have went bad and needs repaced this can be accessed by dropping the glove box. It is behind it.

have you checked the oil levels blue smoke is oil typically piston rings/ vavle seals depending on severity and condition of vehicle u should weight all options. give us more info. how much of a lose of power and how much smoke when did this start is there any check engine lights is there over heating ect ect

Heater blows, but does'nt get hot

Heater core! Check for air in the cooling system. If air is trapped in the heater core, then it will not get hot.
