Wont turn over
Not likely, a bad solenoid usually results in nothing starting at all. The starter only runs a few seconds when first starting the engine. It could be the alternator which is always running. The starter basically replace the old hand crank form decades ago and simple rotates the engine while the fuel burn cycle engages.
Not get any spark through the distributor
If it actually has a Distributor check your coil and wires. If it has a coil pack, which I suspect, check your wiring for lose connectors or broken wires if those are good try replacing the coil pack. There are a lot of spots that can go wrong in these systems. In the Interior fuse panel there is a fuse that will burn out and cause this issue, I don't know the exact location of that fuse so just pull them all one at a time and check them. You'll also want to check the Power Distribution box fuses and relays.
