YOU USE THE WORD CRANKED FOR RUNNING WHY?when did car last run great last decade or?It will stay cranked if starting fluid is sprayed into the throttle body. NO PHOTO OF MISSING LINE, HOSE, OR METAL LINE OR OR WHAT?We just saw that one of the lines to the throttle body had broken off but when I plugged it back up it still won't stay cranked. PLEASE HELPSAY IT CRANKS FAST BUT WILL NOT START AND STAY RUNNINGbe clear on that or get 50 wrong answers.hint: we can not hear it crank. dead/fast or slow.does it start if you add 5% right foot throttle>? (this adds AIR)FUSES ALL GOOD ARE THEY AND IMMO NOT FAILING RIGHT?the problem is low fuel pressure or: bad FUEL. is old.1: bad FPR (they love to fail that old) and stick wide open and not fuel pressure is way way too low.2: fuel pump relay bad.3: fuel pump fuse blow, check all fuses first a 20cent fix. yes.4: 12vdc does not make it to the PUMP cranking a 2 man test.5: ok #4 test passes pump is bad6: or injectors clogged, 7or PCM does not want run injectors due to other pcm inputs wrong.scan the PCM cranking to see why injectors are dead.if in fact they are , I use a scope or noid lamp to make sure all injectors fire. first. if not , scan the PCM is a MUST DOUSA answers me and no others./.USA or canada cars.this is all ASE basics. ask for help if confusedit takes tools to fix cars GOT TOOLS?
if you have a visible chip on the key (resistor), the car may not be able to read the signal and go into fail safe mode.
Also try to unlock the car from the drivers door to see if there is an alarm issue. The disarm wire is attached to the key lock cylinder in the drivers door.
I too own a '93 Sedan Deville. I had the same problem you are describing. There are so many brands of remote controlled systems that your problem defies a simple solution by someone like myself not in the business..I went to a store where they specialize in audio equipment and alarm systems. A good tech will be able to program your system in a New York Minute. There might be a small charge. Audiovox manufacturers systems under many different names. Their customer service people are pretty sharp and if your unit is of their manufacture they will be happy to walk you through the programming system on the phone. I have done this myself and they will stay with you 'till it works. IF it's an Audivox system their customer service phone number will be molded in to the key fob. Hope you find this helpful.
I've not done this for the reason you speak of, but I was told to disconnect the battery from both terminals and hook the 2 cables together and leave it that way for 30 minutes making the computer forget what it was doing. Reconnect the battery and find if it worked for you. There's no power anywhere when the battery is disconnected, so no harm is done. This method turned out my ABS light when nothing else worked after repairs were done.
hard starting first start of the day , sitting over night ? Fuel pump . Check valve inside that is suppose to keep pressure in fuel lines to the fuel injectors . Checking with a fuel pressure gauge is the proper way to test , not guessing and replacing parts . Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop. Can't help your on a
low fixed income . You could spend alot more money if you don't.
So do yourself a favor .
Testing for failed fuel pump check valve
Who told you that you need a P/S cooler? What are your symptoms? When this much work is involved, never install used parts. Did you disconnect the - negative battery cable before installing the alternator. Arcing will damage the diodes in the alternator. An easy test of alternator output is to hold a paperclip to the rear bearing, if its magnetized, its working. The hoses for the cooler don't matter about the connection, the cooler is in series with fluid flow. Just route the hoses neatly with no kinks near the cooling fan.
The most common cause of this is that the air temperature control door (called a blend door) is stuck or the tiny electric drive motor that moves it is defective. You will need a good shop that fixes AC/Heater issues to diagnose this, I am just guessing based on past experiences with GM (Olds and Cady) cars. A picture of the little drive motor is below, the door it moves connects to the hole that has white.
fuses blow because the current flow is in excess of the fuse rating and that is normally from a dead short in the circuit after the fuse
I suspect that the ac compressor rely is faulty and I would start looking in that area
Booster problems are rare but they do go bad sometimes.
A bad booster generally causes the brake pedal to feel hard to push down, and a lot of pressure on the brake pedal is required to make the car stop.
Rarely, a vacuum brake booster will develop a vacuum leak, which can cause engine performance problems, hissing or whistling noise, as well as requiring increased pressure on the brake pedal to stop.
The first test:
With the vehicle parked, turned OFF, and the parking brake set, pump the brake pedal 5 to 6 times. If the pedal gets harder to push after several times, your booster is probably good.
The second test (To make sure):
After the test above, without making any changes, press and hold the brake pedal with light to moderate pressure.
Now with your foot still on the brake pedal, start the vehicle.
If the booster is good, you will feel the pedal go down when the engine starts.

It means that your fuel temp. sensor is reading high. It either is not grounded properly or it failed. Check for 5 volt at 1 of the wires and good ground on the other..if ground and reference is ok, replace sensor.
