open the rear hatch. Between the tail light housing and the rear hatch opening there is a trim strip with two flush fitted flap doors. Insert a small straight blade screwdriver into the small slot on the tail light side of the flap. Pry gently inboard and the small flap will open (the hinge side of the flap is on the side of the rear hatch opening.) Now you can remove the screws that hold the tail lamp assembly in place. Finally, there is still a "spear point" clip that fits into a socket near the front outboard corner of the assembly. Gently pry with a tape wrapped screwdriver (avoids scratches) and force the assembly straight back. The clip should release and free the assembly so you can change the bulb(s).

Where is the low pressure switch for my Honda Odyssey 2003 AC ?

AC is not working, doesn't seem to be any pressure, don't know if it is a bad compressor or what.

The A/C pressure switch is located in the high pressure line (the skinny one) on the passenger side of the engine compartment just under the fuse/relay box. The switch has three functions: <28 psi, the switch opens to protect the compressor from lack of lubrication. >220 psi, the switch shifts the radiator and compressor fan to high speed. >455 psi, the switch opens to protect the compressor seals. Check to see if you have any powertrain DTC's first. A faulty engine coolant temp sensor can cause problems with the compressor clutch relay. If the radiator and compressor fan come on with the A/C on but the compressor clutch does not operate, check the compressor clutch relay. You can also obtain Heater control panel diagnostic trouble codes (DTC's) by turning the ignition switch on. Then turn fan switch off. Press recirc button to select recirc air. Press and hold recirc to turn off recirc air but this time continue to hold the button down until recirc light comes on for two seconds and then goes off. If there is any trouble, the recirc light will then blink a code (if no trouble, the light will remain off) 1 blink = problem in air mix control motor circuit. 2 blinks = a problem in mode control motor circuit. 3 blinks = a problem in evaporator temperature sensor circuit. (this one could be a factor in your case) Turn the ignition switch off to end the test.

which way do you turn the crankshaft pulley bolt to loosen it?

Trying to remove crank shaft pulley bolt. Which way does the bolt turn?

It turns left (counterclockwise) to remove. An impact wrench is best if you can get one on it.

If you don't use an impact wrench, you may need to somehow keep the crank from turning when you loosen the bolt.

One way is to pull the belt tighter to put more tension on the crank pulley.

There are other creative ways I've used. If you have any trouble let me know.

I put in a cd and receive and E-00 error code. Is there an easy fix?

Hi pcrouthamel, you may have a solution to this, but again you may not.

I have an '04 Ody and also had the E-00 error code when trying to play a CD. There are many suggestions as to what it may be and speculations as to how to fix it. The vehicle manual indicates it's a 'focus' issue.

Here is what I did based on internet research and recommendations and what occured:

1) checked both fuse #9 and #11 (pulled cleaned contacts and re-inserted) -- no fix
2) changed the battery in the Ody (is was due anyway) to address the possible low voltage issue -- no fix
3) inserted a CD, and before it was enter all the way, pulled it back out -- no fix
4) same as 3, but after pulling the CD out, gave the upper portion of the CD player a few firm bangs (literally - crazy I know) -- no fix
5) pulled the dash off (way easier than you may think) and removed the radio; pulled the top plate off to see if there were any obstructions within the unit such as coins or other material; shook it to ensure there weren't things I couldn't see; used a Q-Tip and worked it over the lense to clean it; tried another CD - no fix
6) in addition to 5, just as I inserted the CD for a second time, and while it was fully loading, I gave the heat conductor plate on the back of the radio several firm hits with the heel of my palm -- it worked!!

Apparently, there is more to the 'focus' issue than the vehicle manual leads you to ascertain. Like many DVD and CD players, the laser runs on a carriage. Sometimes this carriage can become misaligned; perhaps from hitting a pot hole too hard. My movement of the carriage while the CD was loading, had put it back in alignment. Now my CD player works.

Hope this helps.

My 2003 Honda Odyssey has the Brake Lamp light on

My 2003 Honda Odyssey has the Brake Lamp light on the console turned ON. This is NOT the same light which comes up when you set your Parking Brake. The Odyssey manual says one of the Brake lights should be out, but all the Brake lights are working. I am worried if this is some hidden problem the system is trying to tell me.

That light will come on if your low on Brake Fluid, The Pads on your brakes have worn too low, or a fault is detected in your braking system. You need to get the brake system checked. If you want to check this your self to some extent you should get the Haynes Repair Manual for your vehicle as it contains troubleshooting steps to identify problems you can repair.

Please remove the wiper arm from the motor by unscrewing the bolt holding it there and re-fix it in 180 degrees direction or whatever suits your car. That adjustment would have to made by you being the person on ground.

My 2003 Honda Odyssey battery,brake & open

My 2003 Honda Odyssey battery, brake & open doors light is on. I can still start the minivan & drive it around. Do I need a new battery? or is it some other problem?

This seems to be a problem with grounding of those circuits, notice that they are all in the instrument panel and maybe they share a common ground. Are they lit with normal intensity? Does the intensity go up and down if you apply the brake, open or close a door? I doubt that all 3 lights are on for their normal function such as to warn you about battery not being charged, or brake is on. Get a wiring diagram and look into the instrument panel to see how these circuits are grounded though this may be difficult to sort out. You many need assistance from someone with experience.
