use a highr grade petrol ,this vehicle was not designed for unleaded and as such has no cat so maybe a lead additive (europe) if it does have a cat then the timing needs retarding a bit to 6? as this age will have a distributor .

cluld be bad relay or fuel isent staying in line

check for PLUGGED catalyic converter

The firing order for a 4.1 V-8 is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Odd number pistons are on the driver's side, front to back and even numbers on the passenger's side front to back. The distributor turns counter-clockwise (backwards) and #1 piston is at 1 o'clock (close to the firewall). Hope this helps.

you can check the plugs going to the injectors with a noid lite,,

hotwire it to the battery across diagonal terminals. It should click if these are the coil terminals. If no click, thry the other diagonal terminals. If no click either set of diagonals, the coil is bad. If it clicks, leave it on and check continuity across the other diagonal terminals. If no continuity, the contact wiring is bad. If continuity, the relay is good. Note, a realy that passes thses tests can still have an intermittent problem if the coil is weak. See the last figure in the below post.

If its the fuel pump it may be froze up causing an overlaod on the circuit that would blow the fuse thats if it is for the fuel pump. The fuel pump turns on as soon as you turn the key on the other option is you have a short that would also cause the fuse to blow if you could look in the owners manual and find out exactly what the fuse feeds i could help you better but that is the best advise for the info you have right now. thank you

the fuel level float in the gas tank needs a good ground. make sure that one of the wires is well grounded. quick test .....take the wire from the fuel tank sender and touch to ground momentarily while someone watches the gas guage. if it moves then look for bad ground.

Easiest way is to find the emissions label in the engine compartment, it is usually on the under side of the hood, the upper radiator support, or on the strut tower. It will give you information like the model year, may have a vacuum diagram, and should have the engine size on it.

probably your heater control valve. below is a replacement from autozone, but yours may look different. If it isn't the control valve, maybe it's a splice someone put in. The control valve is the only thing that comes stock in the heater hose.

Could ... but I would guess it is the accelerator pump in the carb that is causing the problem ... presuming you have the naturally aspirated version of this car. The leather seal wears out ...

When you replace the power steering pump, the pulley has to be removed form the old one and install in the new pump. For this, you can buy or if available, borrow a power steering pump removal tool form AutoZone or Checkers. Ask your autoparts store if they lend tools.

You should be displaying the check engine light on. Rent a scanner, read out any codes, and pursue to repairs. Non-start can be one of many things--from a defective crankshaft/camshaft position sensor, a bad fuel pump/filter, defective ignition system, or even a mechanical failure within the engine itself. Was the engine running when it quit or failed to start after parked? Hope this helps!

in the fues box is a round plug in flasher perchase a new one to see what it looks like. the flasher is an easy fix. good luck CJ
