Look in your owners manual/package if you have one and there should be a stereo code card in it or possibly someone may have written it in the owners manual. If not, remove stereo and get serial # and call the dealer and describe your dilemma. They have the codes in a database and can give it to you. Unless they're A-holes and are very hungry you may have to bring the car in and have it done for about an hours labor charge. Then make sure you write the code down and keep it in a safe place.

Very likely some routine maintenance is needed and best practice is to ensure all is up to date and correctly carried out before clearing the code and road testing again to see if the fault is repeated.

If the code returns it will then be time for another code read and some more serious fault-finding.

The heater is very closely associated with the cooling system. Sometimes a bad radiator can cause problems with the heater. No, you don't have to take the wheel off. Just have to take the cover off between the wheel and the dash. Once that's off, then you will have access to the ignition. The only thing is, when you get your new ignition in, you will have to take it to a Honda dealer and have the ignition and key coded together. It will save you some money to put it in yourself, but you will have to tow it wherever the closest dealer is for you.
