sorry ask a mechanic to have a look as it could be anything leaking from a hose to a water pump and everything inbetween ,cannot understand what possesed you to buy a petrol version though they are just jungle juice gobblers and at 10 dollars a gallon for petrol these sort of cars are not worth nothing here ,in the UK about a 1000pounds and not a lot more here in spain but a diesel ???? now your talking these fetch money

John it has been my experience that if you keep clearing the computer eventually the component that is bad will finally go bad and the car will not crank. I would first try the cam sensor due to the inexpensive cost of the part. I had a k1500 pickup that you could reset the computer and the truck would run fine for a month and then it would act up again I replace the computer and the problem was solved. The dealership may not want to replace the computer due to the expense and due to the mileage on the vehicle. If they buy the car back they will reset the computer and sell the car with no warrenty and out the door it goes with no recourse by the buy. I am not implying that they will do this but it is an option.

Go to a dealer with your title and photo ID, and they can look up the key code based on the VIN number of the car, and cut you a key that will work. HOWEVER, Audi keys are different than most (as you've seen I'm sure), and are laser-cut. They can cost upwards of $200 each. That's still cheaper than repairing the damage that is likely from trying to break into the car though. It may be your only bet.

Most places in the US charge between $15 and $35 to scan and clear codes.
Most oil chage places will do it free with an oil change.
Some Auto Parts stores will loan you the scanner to do it yourself.

you have a transmission problem. the tcm has switched to limp mode witch means the trans will start and stay in 2nd or 3rd gear only. this requires a scan tool to properly diagnose the problem. you should get it checked out sooner than later before any further damage is caused by driving it in its limp mode. good luck.

No in my experience, 15 years in the Trim industry, you cannot repair that problem you must replace the window section ( if the tiny zipper is still intact) with a new Audi part.

unlock the car with the key and hold the key over for 30 secs,(the windows will go down) then lock the car/hold key over for 30 secs,(the windows will go up). wait 30 secs then press/hold down the unlock button on the key fob,this will resyncronise the alarm/key fobs.

replace batteries in remotes,then with key unlock car/hold key over windows go down,wait 20 secs,then lock/hold key over,windows go up,wait 20secs, then using remote press/hold down the unlock button for 30 secs.you have just reset the alarm/immobiliser.if remotes/keys dont work after this,then take it to a dealer for a computer/key reset.
