Could well be the sensor/sending unit at fault as Dan states. Could also be the oil has lost some of its viscosity, become thin and not enough pressure for the sensor to work with. Had a similar problem with a Citroen some years back was advised to drain the oil, flush the engine out with flushing oil (please read the manufacturers instructions closely) fit a new filter and refill. This worked well for me, also cured a smoking problem from the exhaust.

Hi i suppose i have to ask how it is that you know these temperatures are different? is the car actually overheating? Have you had it scanned for any fault codes? You may have a defective temp guage...check it by removing the sender plug and see if the guage falls totally to zero...earth the guage wire and see if the guage goes to max. Roger

Sounds like the pod as failed this unfortunately does tend to happen and will need a new unit fitted Classic signs of processor failiure in the dashpod until it warms up. Tell the dealer this and to ring Audi Customer services - they will inform the dealer that the policy is now that all faulty dashpods are to be replaced free of chargeand regardless of mileage, age, service history, or country of first registration. i.e. all TTs regardless.

Normally radio's only work with the ignition off when wired to the ACC side of the ignition switch. you need to see if there is a (red is the usual color) wire linked to +12v at the back of the radio

Sounds like it could be brake rotors or brake pads...inspection of the same would be warranteed.

Hi Andy As Roger said take it to an AC specialist and have it checked, it will probably need re-gassing. AC gas leaks show up as an oily substance. Regards Colin

Probably alternator. Low voltage or alternator/electrical problems will cause other lights to come on.

cud hav internal engine leak or its losing wile drivn--they can do a leak test at a rad shop--heater core may be failn-if it does test the blower motor and ac evap too

Problem with evap system. Charcoal cannister may be full of liquid gas, if so drain or replace. In the future, do not top off tank when filling.
