Starter bendix. Some are on the starter (GM), some are separate (Ford). Are you going to turn the wrenches yourself, as it sounds. Do you need a boyfriend, just teasing. Acura apparently uses a bendix mounted above with the starter, make sure that the wire connections are good and tight. Corrosion (green or white caked on powder) is not good. It takes metric wrenches if you aer that handy.

Hi there,
I dont know about your other problems with the solenoid or etc., but i recently replaced the starter on my cousin's Acura TL (98yr.).Now if this is your problem I can help,1st. disconnect your battery so you dont get fried!!! LOL,next you have to remove the cv boot or cv axel from the tranne no exceptions. Then you remove the lower bolt (which you get to under the car by the driverside tire)the last bolt is in the back by the fire wall (facing the oppesset side of the stater) they dont tell you that @ the dealers. Hope that the information I provided will help GOD BLESS!!!!!

Sounds like they put the wrong temperature of thermostat in you car. If they put in a thermostat that had a lower temperature range than the original. This causes it to open to early and circulate cold water which would give the symptoms you are talking about.

I just had to have the blower motor replaced in my 1998 Acura TL 3.2. It is a big and difficult job. Parts & labor was $1,200. Ouch! Luckily I have an excellent indie mechanic that I trust to do a great job.

Outside of the vehicle you can check for continuity in each of the circuits that go through the resistor. Just need a ohm meter and to get a wiring digram so you'll know what pins complete what circuit's.

As an Acura owner you can register with Acura online. The radio codes for most are available, I'm not sure about Acura' s as old as yours. You need the radio serial # to get the code from a dealer. Most of the time a sticker is placed in the car somewhere with the serial #, and possibly the code.
