Was driving fine, no problems, then stopped shifting into gear stays like in neutral no matter where you shift the stick. automatic. v6
Hi the Transmission control module is having communication issues with the sitting solenoids that actually preform the shifting once you initiate it by using the in car stick. these solenoids are inside of the transmission pan and you will need to replace them.
Please rate and god bless:)

how to test a CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
Unplug sensor connector, using a digital volt ohm meter set on ac volts position.Connect the leads to the two pins in the connector of the crank sensor. Then have a helper crank engine over. You should see ac voltage,if not, then your crank sensor is bad.

1996 Plymouth grand voyager se-need diagram showing where body control module would be located.
The BCM is located on the drivers side under the the steering column. It is behind the fuses and to get to it you have to remove the bash board plastic, than a pice of metal and than you have to remove the fuses box. It will take you approximately 20 min to remove everything. Once you remove the BCM you need to take note of the Part Number P/N. It has to be the same P/N on the replacement BCM. You can use any BCM from years 1996-2000 but make sure the electrical configuration is the same as yours (Power windows, alarms, etc.). I bought my BCM on the junk yard for 35 dollars and my car works perfectly.
I hope this may have assisted you,
Tom

windshield wipers come on by themselves
We had a '96 Dodge Caravan that did the same thing when it was nearly new, but never did find the problem. Several mechanics said that these cars had bad local grounding problems, but never proved it. By the time Chilton's repair manual had come out for this car, the problem had fixed itself (nearly 150,000 miles by then). There is an auto-park switch on the wiper motor that may be mis-adjusted which could cause intermittent spontaneous operation. The motor can be accessed by removing the cowl plate just in back of the hood. The body computer which controls the wiper motor is located on the passenger side front wheel well near the washer reservoir. Check around this for any ground wire connections that could be cleaned and re-tightened. Remove the screws that hold the body computer to the panel as they may have become rusted from wheel splash--wire brush the threads and apply heavy grease. Reinstall them firmly. The only other possibility is metal junk in the wiper control switch. Hope this helps!

I have a 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE with a 3.3 liter V6 Engine. It hasn't been firing on the 6th and 3rd spark plugs, and is only running off of 4 of them. I was told to replace the camshaft position sensor, which I did, and it still is doing the same thing. The coil pack, spark plug wires, and spark plugs are all brand new also. Any suggestions?
The coil pack unit's circuit #3 drives plugs #3 and #6 directly from the PCM. If the cam sensor was defective, it should not fire any plugs. Suspect bad wiring from the PCM to the coil pack, the PCM unit itself, or a segment of the camshaft position sensor surface has lost magnetism causing missing signal to the PCM. An oscilloscope is the best test instrument for chasing down a missing pulse problem. The missing timing signal also explains why the PCM would report a 'bad camshaft sensor'. Hope this helps!

how to change the rear spark plugs of a 96 plymouth voyager
The engine plenum will have to be removed. This is what the air goes thru to get to the engine intake. Remove ground, mark tag remove required cable, wires and hoses, take digital photos as you go. Be patient. The good news is we don't have to change them every 20K miles.

I need to put a crankshaft sensor but I don't Know its location I already changed the cam sensor. Ronnie
The crank sensor is located on the engine near the flywheel axis of the crankshaft.
Crankshaft Position Sensor
Removal & Installation
To Remove:
Location of the crankshaft position sensor on the 2.4L engine
Location of the crankshaft position sensor on the 3.0L engine
Location of the crankshaft position sensor on the 3.3L and 3.8L engines
NOTE: On the 2.4L engine, the crankshaft position sensor is mounted to the engine block behind the alternator, just above the oil filter. On the 3.0L, 3.3L and 3.8L engines, the crankshaft position sensor is mounted on the transaxle housing, above the vehicle speed sensor.
To Install:
NOTE: If the sensor removed is going to be re-installed, clean off the old spacer on the sensor face. A new spacer must be attached to the sensor face before installation. If the sensor is being replaced, be sure that a paper spacer is attached to the sensor face.

trouble code p1784 on dodge grand caravan
found this on another page.....

After clearing these 2 codes the van ran normal for about 20 minutes without any issue, but after, the problems came back with no codes.
LR Pressure Switch is always in "Open" position. Must be closed at Park, Rev and Neutral.
Could anyone explain to me how the switch works. Is this the solenoid pack or the LR Pressure issue? The L/R pressure switch should be closed in P/N only. The switch should open when put into REV if the trans is not in limp-in mode. All switches will stay CLOSED if the trans is in limp-in mode. Disconnect the trans 8-way connector at the solenoid pack. Key on scanner hooked up apply 12 volts to the L/R pressure switch pin in the 8-way connector and watch for the switch to change from open to closed. If it does change the SSV may be stuck in the TCC position. You will have to remove the valvebody and inspect the solenoid switch valve to know for sure. The pressure switch itself is in the solenoid pack. If you have an old solenoid pack changing it is easier and quicker than inspecting the valvebody. Perform your diag for fault P1784. I believe the pressure switch is also closed in 1st gear also. Hope this helps.

replaced the power steering pump still hard to turn
If the pump is ok then the problem lies in the power rack and pinion unit. This is a common problem, and is caused by internal "O" ring seal leakage due to a scored piston bore inside the rack and pinion. You can try having the system fluid flushed clean and adding a of bottle LUCUS brand power steering fluid conditioner, I have seen this correct the problem. I have personally used the product and it works, not all the time but it is worth a try, the replacement of the steering rack is about a $900.00 job parts and labor.

What causes this code and what are the fixes?
You can take an old spray bottle and fill it with water. Then with the engine idling or the idle raised to above 1200RPM, spray a water mist over the seams and Vacuum lines. Also spray around the Brake booster.
If there is a leak, the water mist will cause a change in the engine RPM. Then fix the source of the leak. You probably should check with Autozone, Advance, or Oreilys for the part. You can see what it looks like at these 3 stores or look up the part with the Web Browser.
Sometimes the passages that the idle control valve use can get dirty and the valving can freeze up. Depending on condition, WD40 sometimes can both clean and free up the parts. You can ask the Autoparts place what you need in the way of gaskets. The part should be somewhere in the intake manifold. I usually work on the Ford family of Brands.
Once you work on this part, any of the 3 places can clear your onboard computer.
