Automatic transmission not working at all
Check the oil level in the transmission to check for oil leaks . Run fault codes and look for a fault in the TCM unit or wires not connected properly. Have a pressure test done to check for internal problems.
I have a 1990 Chrysler Lebaron Convertable, 3.0l
Could be just a need to reset the "check engine light", normally this is accomplished when the battery is disconnected for 15 minutes...If your Lebaron is now running smoothly, have the alternator battery tested for free at most auto parts stores for peace of mind. Auto Zone can also read the check engine light code for free. Tight belt, good tensioner pulley, good alternator, you should be in business. Most likely no harm done when the arc occurred.
Bypassing ignition
You take the hot wire to the ignition switch and twist it together with the run wire out of the switch-then ignition is on, just as if the key were turned to on. Then take the start wire that goes out of the switch and touch it to the hot wire to make the starter work. Soon as engine is started, remove the start wire from hot wire and tuck it out of the way. When you want it off, untwist the hot wire and the run wire.If you cannot hot wire it like this, check if there is a security system that has immobilized the car. I don't know if a '92 had a security system.
My serpentine belt has fallen
Most likely the belt tensioner but very common for the belt to be mis-routed even when it looks right. Back side idler, if applicable, also could be the culprit. Like other posted reply, check the belt tension with finger or thumb as well.
