all v engines have 2 or 4 i can be different for calif. cars.. are yah? 1996 is USA (calif , federal versions) 1998 is canada 3.8L: V6 the version that has a crossover ,bank 1 to bank 2. so shares a cat ,and has 1 sensors in front of cat on manifold and 1 for the cat. rear. the rear 02 is seen a wire to a grommet under drivers seat to the cat rear. 02 sensor the front sensor, is under wiper motor, the book says it must be removed, wiper motor. first just for you, a photo of rear exh man. marked up o2 markedCr for cross over to front bank (a pipe)T for tail , it goes to the CAT. 2 sensors here, !

Your fuel consumption will be high and if you keep driving it, you will end up needing a new catalytic converter very soon. I would have the coil module tested.

What name part did you use ? Chryslers do not like aftermarket parts .

If it is only the bulb, you will need to take enough "stuff" out of the way to access the center of the reflector bowl under the hood so you can twist the bulb holder loose. When you get all the "stuff" out of the way, use a strong light and perhaps a mirror and you will see what to do ask you progress. If you wish to replace the whole headlight, type the make and year into the "e-bay" website, ( as I just did), and you will see them for sale. They are pictured clearly, so you can see what it looks like before you start the job. God bless your efforts.

1. Check that the serpentine belt is still intact and still in position over all the pulleys on the engine including the power steering pump.2. Check the power steering fluid level. If very low or empty you obviously have a significant power steering fluid leak which could be from a ruptured flexible hose, a leaky hose connection, a leak from the power steering pump itself or leaks from the fluid seals in the steering rack. If the PS pump has been run with very low fluid it will have been pumping air and will be damaged. 3. If the PS pump itself has failed you will obviously lose PS assistance and a bad pump would need to be replaced. 4. Since you have not checked anything on the car no one here can tell you the likely source of your particular PS failure.5. The steering wheel should still turn but if the car is not moving it will be extremely heavy and difficult to move.without PS assistance so don't attempt to drive it in its present condition.

Crank sensor. Depending on your engine, most are behind the harmonic balancer. Passenger side, lowest pulley on the engine.

The computer is most likely on the drivers side engine compartment with this vehicle. Not hard to replace but a word of caution would be to make sure it does not require setting up (programmed) before you dig in.

Follow the large bundle of wires in a large harness. This attaches to the computer's electrical connector. It's usually on the drivers side above below or near the battery or mounted on a fender. Chrysler had a habit of hiding the computer under the battery box in those days. Good luck.

Sounds like you have shorted something out. When you add or remove something you should always take one of the cables off the battery. This prevents a lot of problems later. Hope you did not burn one of the wires apart. and check all the fuses. If the wire is burnt you should replace it or make sure to tape it real good if its just the insulation that is burnt off.

Cranks but won't start? Replacing the plugs won't be the fix most likely. You are probably looking at the components that control spark. Make sure that everything is dry ( condensation is a huge factor for things like this ) If you are having this problem AFTER replacing the plugs, then you are going to want to make doubly sure that you put the wires in the proper places. Don't crank the engine over like this very long, or you will dump raw fuel into the catalytic converter and could ruin it, which will cost you more than you'd probably want to sink into that van.

if your asking where is sensor 1 bank 1 its in the exhaust pipe coming off the firewall side(rear) of the engine, sensor 1 bank 2 is in the exhaust pipe coming off the rad side(front) of the engine. they are the first sensor that you come to.

Well the sensor should be on the drivers side just under the valve cover and it looks like a circle with a plug in it.I think your problem though is the timing belt is off a tooth it will run fine but being a tooth off will keep that light on.
