(easy to fix, infinite parts)

The 2wd is pretty straight forward but I would be careful of his diagnosis. A lot of people think that the noise from the input shaft bearing is being caused by the throw out bearing. Be sure the noise is when you have your foot pushed down on the clutch. If the noise is present when your foot is off the clutch and loudest while driving in first gear, then the problem is with a bearing inside the transmission and it will have to be taken apart.

Coil(s) are notorious for going bad. The factory coil is riveted to plates on back of intake manifold. Replacement coil has new bolts and nuts.
