if this is a 1988 vehicle then scrap the car as no parts after 10 to 12 yrs of age available from dealers

YOU HAVE LEAKING FUEL LINE TO THE THROTTLE BODY INJECTOR UNIT.OR YOU HAVE A DIRTY INJECTOR FLOODING THE ENGINE.

remove the battery

have you checked the main fuses in the box ? does the key switch have power ?

did you check for vacuum leaks probably a vacuum hose thats been knocked off or eroded and needs to be replaced.

FLASHER

The Flasher is located: Front seating area, driver side, under dash, near fuse panel, taped to dash wiring harness If you still can't find it turn the signal on and listen for it.

The starter is near the vicinity of the flywheel where the engine interfacing with the transmission. look from the bottom of the engine up you can spot it just like this image.

Sounds to me that you are getting oil in you fuel, I would take and get pressure tested to see if any crack's in head or block. Good luck.

If it is a fuel pump, you're going to need to drop the fuel tank to access it.

Chiltons or Haynes manuals usually have good schematics in them. You can find them at most auto parts houses.
