Do you get a "check engine" light? If so, have the code read. Sometimes you won't get the error the first time.
I had a similar problem with a different car, was the cam position sensor. After the 4th or 5th time, I did get a code and that told me exactly what to replace.

It could be the wiring from the body to the seat which is subject to movement and vibration.

Before fiddling with the SRS take the recommended safety precautions which usually resemble disconnecting the battery and waiting 30 minutes and never using a self-powered test meter to check wiring.

Good luck!

The vehicle has a factory anti-theft system that has been activated. You need the key fob to shut it off. I have had some success with connecting the positive cable, leaving the door open and turn the key in the "on" position and then attach the negative cable to defeat this but it only works on some cars, worth a try if you don't have the factory fob.

The ejection action is done by a small rubber band and when this happens it is normally the band has broken. It will require the cd unit to be removed and the cover taken off to see if this is the case.

you have a short, probably in the switch that controls the adjustment...you should check the whole circuit, including wires to the mechanism.
