What does code po1151 mean
that means oxygen sensor bank 2 sensor 1 is running lean, I'll check for vacuum leaks around the intake manifold, if no could be just a faulty oxygen sensor
Rear wheel is wobbling
I wouldn't drive it because the wheel could come off if the bearings go out, and they might. Have it towed to a shop and have a mechanic look at it. This condition is DANGEROUS.
My sercurity system is shut down how do I reset it
I've owned a couple Grand Marquis, but never had this problem. Although, an Altima I once owned alarm was set-off and i didn't have the remote to turn if off. I learned you had to put the door key in the lock and turn it back and forth a couple times to shut it down. Maybe it will reset yours. Another vehicle you had to turn ignition key forward without starting the car, hold for 5-seconds turn off and then try staring. Not my best post
2000 grand marquis dash vibration
Check with a site called "Aboutautomobile.com" which will show you the TSB's and Consumer comments about your specific car. The TSB info will show remedies.
Now I believe there was a problem with Frame welds in the control arm area in the front suspension about the year your car was made.
The front tire could be out of balance or out of round. Rotate tires and see what happens. Tie-rod ends could be worn and they can let you know the condition at that time.
Sometimes either spray foam or adhesive foam strips can help dampen vibration.
Heater stays on after temperture is reached
You have a faulty HVAC temperature sensor. They are sometimes located behind the glove box of the Grand Marquis. Go to your local parts store and they will sell you the sensor for under 50 bucks and tell you how to install it. it is really easy.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON
This Code is about the RPM not matching the idle settings. A Vacuum leak is tricking the engine into making adjustments based on a lean O2 reading. Correspondingly the O2 sensors are demanding more fuel to eliminate the lean readings. Then the engine realizes the amount of air going by the MAF is not matching the IAC settings(Because the air leak is increasing rpm) and blames the IAC which is a Code P1506.
With the engine running, use an old spray bottle and fill it with water. Spray the seams, vacuum lines and solenoids until you notice a change in RPM. Lastly, spray the EGR pod if the diaphragm is torn it will leak vacuum.
Wherever you find the leak, fix it, then clear the computer and drive it.
Temperature gauge is not working
Hello cehatten.
To check whether it is the gauge or the sender/sensor you will need to find the sending unit sensor and jump the two pins. If it goes to full hot you will need to replace the sending unit.
If it doesn't move the gauge you will need to repair/replace the gauge or repair wiring from the sender/sensor to the gauge. It is most likely the sending unit itself.
You will need to remove the plastic cover over the engine and the sensor is near the #1 cylinder fuel injector.
Here is a diagram.
