check wiring---connections for damage

I had that problem before. Replace the light switch with a high quality NAPA or OEM Ford part.

grinding sound is not good, there is a knock sensor on the engine if this registers a bad knock it will turn off ecu to stop more damage. has the engine been stud for a long time. when was the oil last changed. is there any thing obstructing the engine, is the engine burning oil or water is there a white film on the oil filler cap. please check these out

The switch is were you put the key into. Could be the ignition switch, wiring, relay , fuse, or PCM.

How old is a battery?Check connection. A Battery has to have crank power beside has 12.5 V.

have someone pull on the release handle while someone else is pulling/wiggle the e-brake cable at the rear by the wheels to see if they will release. you can try spraying penetrating fluid on the cables and wiggle trying to free them up. if not then they may have to be cut and freed up so the rear brakes are not locked on.

Is the newer steering column from the same year MGM? If not, the wires may be in a different configuration. There is a difference in the LS and GS, as well as different years.

Hi: Odds are that the wiper switch has fused contact points. I`d be considering replacing it.

The noise might be coming from a belt, tensioner, alternator, idler pulley or a pump. Valve body gaskets, drain plugs, and other parts have gaskets. They might leak over time, and will need to be replaced. Sometimes bolts get loose, and then the gaskets leak.

There is an out fit the mechanics put on to reset the codes in the car computer. If you want to try yourself try taking the battery cables off the battery for an hour but if you do that then every thing has to reset itself most of the time even your radio. I really don't recomend it.

I am guessing you did something to the shifter lock...

look under your hood where your wiper motor would be connected to the firewall next to your wipers more than likely on the drivers side

Check to see if brakelights work. If they don't could be out of adjustment.
